The place I'm at is probably my favorite place in this game so far, including all of BOTW. Amazing.

I don't know that i ever had more than ~50 total arrows at any given time in BotW. I think i had 65 by the time i got off of Great Sky Island.
Now my focus is just on stockpiling fire fruit and bomb flowers. I like this system a lot more than having to find specialized arrows.
I'm 35 shrines in and haven't even begun any of the quests towards one of the main regions. As much as I tell myself I need to get started I can't stop freaking exploring. Stumbled upon evantide island last night and as soon as I saw it I just had to go there. Was a really fun area in BotW and was cool in this game as well. And then on top of that there was a freaking cool underground area accessible from that spot that had some great combat and yielded me an awesome helmet with reference to a previous zelda game.Exploration in this game is so rewarding!A is A said:
Just arrived at Rito last night. 13 shrines in.
I have noticed that in BOTW I constantly ran out of arrows. In TOTK I have arrows for days. Maybe that is just me but the weapon economy, while using the same assets, had a complete overhaul for the better.
This game is just amazing.
Isn't that what makes it fun? You don't have to figure out the one way to solve a problem that isn't obvious to you. You can do a lot of different stuff to solve the same issue. It's the best build your own adventure game that's ever been made. It took a while for BotW to really click with me, this game was crazy fun off the bat. I haven't even made it down to Hyrule yet, and that's ok, I'm still having fun. I love the new abilities to attach things together, fuse weapons together, and shoot up through the floor. I'm going to savor this game for a long time.Head Ninja In Charge said:
I'm increasingly finding that I'm not a great engineer. All of my solutions have been to create long ass walkways or faux ladders using the pallets that are widely available. I feel like I could be more creative, but **** it.
Master sword upgrades was part of a DLC package "Trial of the Sword". Not part of the base game but was my favorite part of BotW.BQRyno said:
This is the path I've taken too. Plus exploration where I've stumbled across things on the way. The game does a good job pointing you in the right direction for some cool stuff. I'm sure there will be a lot of stuff I never touch. For example, I didn't know there were master sword upgrades in botw. Whoops.

It looks like the towers repurposed some of the guardian parts, to me.Marsh said:
Like, where did the divine beasts go? Where are the remnants of the machines.

I haven't played BOTW since it released. Should I give it another playthrough before starting this one?

My biggest takeaway from this game is that Miyamoto and Miyazaki should stop with the foreplay around enhancing each other's designs, and directly collaborate on what would be the greatest form of interactive media ever created.
Universal should collaborate with Studio Ghibli for the Zelda movie. (I'm not even a fan of those movies, but I know that style would work amazingly well for this series.)rangerdanger said:

Do you agree that they're both just enhancing each other's designs at this point? It's great for us, but my pipe dream is that they collab on one AAA project.
