Parachute payments (I think they will still be around next year??) supplemented by Champions League earnings would be the most Arsenal thing ever.

Balogun gets #4. Really want him over Nketiah at this point
I think Balogun & Eddie could work very well together if we were ever to try the 4-2-2-2 press & counter. Balogun has potential to be the better pure ST but Eddie is good at the press and has the potential to be a good poacher.

I imagine relegation might be the only thing that costs -'Arteta his job. If not, it's further proof that the front office is grasping at straws.

Long been a believer Xhaka offers little to Arsenal. Would be satisfying to see him sent on.
As to the current overall play, this team has no offensive game. It is awful, and while the goals will eventually come, to what end? I don't see how this squad escapes the bottom three this season.
Personally, I think Arteta is walking really thin ice. While the defense is better, there is zero development on offense and there are no encouraging signs.

I said years ago that when Wenger left we'd be going the same route as United in terms of trying to find a replacement manager. Instead its worse. I don't think you give Arteta through January. You change now and buy whatever the new coach wants in January.

The only good news is that Arteta doesn't have the option of playing Bellerin and Xhaka next game. Suspensions forcing him to make the changes that should have already been made

Need to find a manager with a reputation for playing and developing young talent. Play a formation/scheme that works with their strengths/weaknesses sonyou can start rotating the young guys more offten. Then between Jan and this summer you need to sell every single non-HG over 25 and completely rebuild with youth (ours or bought).
I've been wondering for years why Xhaka plays so much. The guy just contributes nothing.
And why oh why does Willian play even a minute? Has done absolutely nothing since arriving. Why did we want him? Scored a few penalties for Chelsea but was otherwise very poor last season.
We need to take a look at Ralf Rangnick. He's currently a FA, experienced and runs a really good scheme. Think he could turn us around quickly as he requires less creativity and more hard work & speed. Offload some vets and replace some with some younger, hungry and more energetic options.

Who's ready for another miserable day. Hopefully Pepe is starting over Willian since he is back from suspension. Ceballos will likely replace Xhaka. Cedric will probably start instead AMN for Bellerin.
I'm not gonna hold my breath but I'd like us to actually try something different (tactics, formation, personnel) to get the squad invigorated. There is something seriously wrong with the fact that the PL squad is sucking it up so bad while the EL squad looks significantly better.
I'm ok with that lineup. Don't care for the bench. Think ESR & Balogun deserve a spot.
