Yea the one where Xhaka got clobbered with complete intent to play the player is only a yellow because it was not in the box. Don't say well it denied a goal scoring opportunity one pass and it is a goal scoring opportunity.
Ok definite 3 match ban. The PL may even make it longer to show how much they support the Officials.chjoak said:
And this was a red?
I get that folks don't like Luiz and expect the screw ups (fair) but this was just really ****ty luck. The Wolves player did get behind Luiz before the pass which led to Luiz trailing him during the whole sequence (yes, that's bad) but the "trip" and the red card were just really bad luck. Luiz didn't do anything wrong besides initially getting beat.OneBlitzer said:
Luiz was an idiot for crossing over closely behind the Wolves player in the box. Leno could have made the save but if not the match is level at one and 11 v11. The second half would have favored Arsenal getting three points.

We should be focusing a lot more on Leno's epic **** up
I think DOGSO was harsh, but if it doesn't hit his hand, it's going to the box and the attacker is the closest player to the ball.wangus12 said:TXAggie2011 said:

Ehh I think the ball skidded off the soaked pitch and he wasn't expecting it to do that. Misread and it hits his arm. I also don't think its a red card either. Traore is nowhere close to getting that ball. It's not a denial of a goal scoring g opportunity and it should have been an indirect free kick and a yellow card
That's a mistype on me. This one isn't an indirect. Handling is an indirect free kick when the player touching the ball with his or her hands after it has been deliberately kicked to him or her by a teammateLook guys... said:I think DOGSO was harsh, but if it doesn't hit his hand, it's going to the box and the attacker is the closest player to the ball.wangus12 said:TXAggie2011 said:

That being said, when is a handball ever an indirect free kick?
Correct. If that had been a pass from a teammate, it still would've been a direct free kick since he was outside the penalty area. There is no indirect kicks for handling the ball, just to be clear.wangus12 said:That's a mistype on me. This one isn't an indirect. Agree, and this is an opinion I've shared a time or two on this thread.gougler08 said:
We are just a typical mid table team this year
