Lololololololololololololol. Typical Arsenal.
I was really debating what the right move was at the time. Really wanted to keep Emi but there really wasn't a market for Leno. Looking like we screwed the pooch on that call.Teacher_Ag said:
Wow. And we sold Martinez.

Very good comparison except I would blame the front office. I don't have a problem if we fire Arteta but I don't think it solves any issues.
Stan is a businessman, first and foremost. He still believes it's his money. So, he is going to do what is best for his bottom line. If selling is the best thing, he will do it. If he feels like selling now is premature, he will hold on until he's used this club to finance something else he's got going somewhere, and then quietly look for a buyer. In my opinion, we won't hear much about a club sale until its been sold.Maximus_Meridius said:
Is there any way they can force Stan out? Because I get the feeling he won't just simply be "bought out". Unless they throw Elon Musk money at him or something. Even then I'm not sure he'd take it.
Exclusive: #afc director Josh Kroenke told club staff that KSE will not entertain any offers to sell Arsenal during an internal call this afternoon. Also stated they will make transfer funds available this summer to help team compete for trophies. Story: https://t.co/MmOrQTOITn

I think it convinces them to spend for a summer or 2 just to A) appease the fanbase and B) hope to get more competitive so CL money will start rolling in again.Teacher_Ag said:
Maybe if nothing else this little episode convinced them to **** or get off the pot. Maybe just maybe they will spend a bit more to give us a fighting chance.
I've heard suggestions of 2B GBP. Not suggested as an asking price but in the argument that Stan won't sell. Someone suggested that if a buyer put 2B on the table he would most certainly take the money and walk away.rebag00 said:
Saw another (possibly BS) twitter post where the reported estimated asking price was set at $3 Billion or 2.15 Billion pound sterling. Which would be roughly 125% profit on the price Silent Stan paid for the club, and also likely out of the realm of reality for Ek. For reference, the club has had losses totaling around $120 million over the last two years.
