Have we finally turned the corner?
Correct infusion of youth and benching of unimpressive veterans has rejuvenated the level of play. I'm optimistic.
Need to ship out several of those unimpressive vets in the next 29 days and replace them with younger options. Wonder if Barca or Real would still have any interst in PEA? Vinicius Jr + cash/u18 or Riqui Puig + cash/u18?

Goodness. We've turned on a guy that scored 22 goals last year. I say we give him a little bit more time before selling him 4 months after signing him.

I get what you mean but how many times have we (Arsenal) been bitten by waiting too long to make a decision (incoming or outgoing)? We arent winning anything this season. Gotta think about the short term (avoiding relegation) more just as important is to rebuild the squad and set ourselves up tonget back to top 4 consistently. PEA will not be playing at a high level for long enough for the current squad to be competing for anything meaningful. If we can get a good return now, why not?

We aren't going to be relegated. I get what you are saying about holding on too long or not pulling the trigger but PEA had a great season last year and I have faith that he'll figure it out. Selling him now would be a panic move.

Saw a report claiming that Saliba wants to come back next summer and fight for a 1st team spot. I've also seen some vague comments about his problems possibly being related to emotional issues stemming from the loss of both of his parents this year.wangus12 said:

- Seeing rumor that we have had talks with Emi Buendia's agent. Norwich want 40m. We are said to be trying a player + cash deal with Willock & Nelson being the primary options offered.
- Saw a report claiming that we are in talks with Fiorentina about loaning Torreira for the remainder of the season.
Want Buendia and think we should be able to have him and ESR without hurting ESR's development.

I don't know about the Turkish deal but what I was hearing on the DC United deal was in addition to whatever salary the team was going to give Ozil's coffee company (no clue he had one) exclusive vendor rights for coffe sales and free advertisement in the stadium. So they may not be able to match his current salary but helping him expand and advertise a side gig is a pretty big deal too.

I certainly wouldn't start him, but maybe sub on for 20-30 mins. Lets be honest, he does need game time. But agree on not having him play a full match or even a full half.

Apparently the terms of the loan are so good that they really couldn't afford not to take it. It has to be used to help with operations and can't be used for player salaries. That's what I understand.
