Sure players have off years but PEA is 31 right now. Was this an off year or a significant start to his decline? Also his lack of scoring this season exposed his poor fit on the team. He operates best as a scoring winger but he isn't a natural winger and doesn't do the little things that a typical winger does which leaves us vulnerable at times on defense. As a ST he has a tendency to drift wide and leave the middle of the box unoccupied and he is incapable of the holdup play that has sparked some of the best performances from our younger players.

Some good news at least. Sounds like the club is gonna get Balogun resigned. Probably means Nketiah and/or Laca are gone this summer

Why not both?

Personally I would sell Laca and try to loan Eddie to either see if he gets good enough for us or atleast raises his value enough to land us more cash next year.

Eddie's contract is out in 2022 so I there's no loan without an extension. My guess is he's sold to raise some money

Also apparently Auba has "flu" despite no official cases of the flu in England this year

Meh I'll believe it when I see it. Wouldn't make any sense to do it. Not like you're gonna financially back a new manager who would want to restructure the squad again. Give him another summer to continue building and see what happens at this point.

Agreed. The club has done very little to reinforce this club to compete in the EPL. I'm not going to knock the PEA signing because we were begging for it after last season. Again, the front office is a mess that can't seem to get their **** together and have a cohesive plan. We let too many players go to other clubs for free or we pay them to take our players. I'd love to not play XHaka or David Luiz but who is clearly better than either of them? Same with RB and possibly ST. We have young guys that we hope are better but nobody that is proven either.

We don't spend enough to have expensive veterans move in and our of favor every year or two. Seriously, is there a major signing on this roster that a large swath of Arsenal fans don't want to sell because they don't seem to be working out?

And as much as I question Arteta's rigidity with the younger players at times, switching coaches every 1.5-2 years won't provide the stable atmosphere needed for Guendouzi, Saliba, etc. to develop and succeed here
