that's exactly what i was thinking. he's boxing him out like rebound moving him away from the play. also, you nailed it. both things are true. Bayinder should have been stronger. it's still a foul.

I said it yesterday. 10 years ago that's a foul all day. Now? Not as much. It's why Arsenal had scored so many corners and DFKs. They pick the GK really well. I would run picks on GK every time.

Why we didn't have someone there as a personal protector to clear that guy out is why we give up so many goals on corners.

I think this would be an ideal move for United. Loan him and see if he can revive his form. Maybe you can sell him for a larger fee next year.

I saw that he turned it down on Twitter. Didn't come to post it because, honestly, this guy (edit: Sancho, to avoid confusion) exhausts me. One way or another, he'll be gone in a year, and more than likely something will happen before the window closes. (Even if just a loan to cover some of his ridiculous wages before he leaves for free.)

I don't know, though, he's probably done more to be disliked by the fanbase than Alexis Sanchez. So that's quite an accomplishment.

I think he thinks we will probably cave and loan him somewhere, even if it's at the deadline and even if it is only Saudi or Turkey, just to minimize the loss.

I don't know what kind of research we were doing into these guys because apparently Garnacho is a sheethead as well. Was listening to a show where one of the hosts is a Chelsea guy and he was concerned about bringing Garnacho's bad attitude into the squad.

We got Garnacho while he was in Atletico Madrid's academy for a very small fee (under 1M), so not the same as spending 80M on someone. I'm really confident we make our Garnacho money back even if he is entitled.

In fairness, I can't think of a better spiritual alignment between club and player than Chelsea and Garnacho. Like it 100% checks out that Garnacho would insist on only playing for them.

United and Napoli in talks about a Hojlund loan. Hojlund wants some guarantees that he would have a chance to come back into the United squad when the loan ends. Or he wants the loan to include an obligation to buy him.

According to Fabrizio, United are close to agreeing personal terms with goalie Senne Lammens. But sounds like they would only make the move if they make some sales.

I know nothing about him other than what I read on Wikipedia. Profile seems to be a good fit for a new person who can come in and compete for the job rather than be handed it (ala Donnarumma). That makes a lot of sense to me as long as the cost is reasonable (Transfermarkt has his value set at 9m EUR). Ideally, he (or someone like him) comes in and competes for the starting job after one of the current goalies is moved. Also still gives you options for next season based on how the goalies at the club (and Vitek) perform.

He's not in a top 5 league, so it's a little closer to signing James Trafford than, I don't know, Alisson, Courtois or Donnarumma, but his fbref shot stopping stats are incredible.

I kind of think there will be two keepers in the team sheet on Sunday. My money is on Tom Heaton and… Bayindir. Amorim really protected Bayindir in post-match presser. And it kind of seems like he doesn't like Onana. Maybe giving him the Hojlund treatment?

According to the Athletic, if this happens, Bayindir is the one at risk, not Onana.

Bayindir was cheap. Probably pretty easy to move him along and adhere to PSR.

Onana is definitely harder to move. Bayindir was only a few million, and not on high wages. He could easily go back to Trkiye. I'm just saying, I'm not convinced yet. I think whoever isn't in goal is the one they will try to get out before the window closes.

Can they just unload all of them? They are all massively flawed.

Dumping DDG for Onana was just another in a long live of decisions that in hindsight turned out to just be really bad.

Watching Brentford/Villa and ref just gave the foul United didn't get last week. Further out from under the goal but same push/impediment. Ruled out a Brentford goal.

Watching BRE-AV and Brentford just had a goal disallowed because of contact on Emi Martinez. Martinez comes out 5 steps in open space to the top of the 6 yd line to jump Superman style to punch a ball. He jumps at and over everyone, whiffs, and the ball ends in his net. And somehow the Brentford players are called for a foul on Martinez.

If that's a foul then the contact on Bayindir last week was a red card. I mean Martinez is the one initiating contact and arguably fouls the Brentford players.

What a joke.

Try to come out, whiff on the ball, scream like you are a little girl seeing a mouse, go down holding your side and draw a magic foul to wipe out a goal.
