The bad news is, the parties are very far apart on his wages. He currently makes 6m a year. Betis have offered him 2m. If Antony wants to recoup the difference, they are insisting that United cover it. United don't intend to and at best would meet in the middle. I was thinking the same thing at first but I guess Cunha was playing as the nominal striker. His option was either to push Mbeumo into that role, Bruno into attacking mid, and bring on Mainoo, or bring on Zirkzee in a more like for like. Sesko is likely spent after 90 minutes and then cramping on Wednesday.

Amad is going to have to learn the finer points of playing in the middle third as a RWB rather quickly if he's going to be a legitimate fixture there. He's making decisions/errors there that aren't as amplified when you have a RB, RCB, and RCM behind you but are when you only have a RCB and a RCM with that runs like a 60 yr old.
He also needs to get better at shooting at empty nets

No doubt. But let's be honest. It's the right decision to do it. Whatever this is, it's not working. And dragging it out any longer isn't going to fix it. The next matches are city, Chelsea and Brentford. They are staring at 0-4-2 after 6. 2 whopping points. They will be in a regulation slot. Why wait until then?
To be clear, I don't know that a change in manager will matter. The players just are not very good. But they are better than this.
