It makes total sense. Retail are way more interested in buying 50,000 shares of something than 5 shares of AAPL. I think we are really just at the beginning of this very likley bubble. With way more stimulus to come.Aston04 said:
Penny stocks on fire. My guess is this is a historic, unprecedented move up. Small time investor money pouring into it. Helps with many fleeing robinhood (no otc trades) and leaving the gme trade in general... Gotta invest it somewhere...

I'm sure many of you know this and this is probably a "no shi* sherlock " post but the best time to identify and buy your penny is between 230-255 just before end of closing. Lotsa these pennies like crazy right at open the next day and you may only reap half of what you can if you buy at open instead of holding overnight from the day before. This has been a strategy of mine for a few months now and it pays off big if you can get those pennies identified. I 've probably had at least 7-8 run hard the very next morning right at open and I wasn't having to chase em.
I was in them a while back (probably 2 years ago) when they were investigating cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) for PTSD. It seemed like an interesting concept at the time, but they ended up failing Phase 2 (I think) and stopped development. This resulted in a reverse split and I ended up getting out for a net loss.larry culpepper said:

Looking at their pipeline, they seem to be a company that lacks focus if they are getting in to covid skin tests. Just my $0.02.
I did. That's why I bought 100k shares at .08Brat86 said:

net zero is a strategy lead by thr poster OA on the main stock trading thread. The basic premise is after a stock goes up enough, sell to protect initial investment, keep "a net free" interest in the stock to see if that remaining stake may go higher over time (and not have to as actively manage it).78669AG said:
I see ppl say gettinf to net zero or net free....what are these meanings.
Sorry a newbie
otc are stocks not listed on nasdaq or nyse or other major index. Generally super small caps. This sector is by far the hottest segment right now. Robinhood doesn't let its traders invest in those.biglebowski said:irish pete ag06 said:It makes total sense. What's an OTC trade? I just got Robinhood, I'm aware of the shady dealings recently. What's a better platform?

Fidelity....interesting, I tried to buy something earlier today and got a note fidelity doesn't trade stocks under some value. That's why I asked the platform question earlier....I'll try again tomorrow. Probably OE.Aston04 said:otc are stocks not listed on nasdaq or nyse or other major index. Generally super small caps. I recommend fidelity. Absolutely free trades, without restrictions on otc stocks. Nice platform to search for new stocks. They do restrict some stocks if their paperwork has been flagged for being out of compliance... But then if a stock is being flagged/restricted, the odds are against it anyway (I do keep an etrade acct I could in such case.. But Etrade doesnt do free trades of penny stocks)..
I also recommend getting on Twitter to gauge momentum of small stock plays (and get ideas) and also screen stocks using the yahoo finance screener. I put in price (I prefer penny stocks) & volume (more volume can indicate momentum) parameters to add stocks to my watch list to follow/research more.
Start testing strategies and then starting dipping a toe in the water once you have confidence to go for it. Never blindly trust a pump. Do your homework. Good luck.
