That's what the game is. Space and shoot. And they're barely in the top 50 in the 3pt rate this year. They're not letting it fly quite like Creighton does.

"what the game is" is why nba ratings are at an all time low

It's not basketball. I'll maintain that. There's like 3 teams that play like this

Well if they have a world congress on basketball and change the game then people will adjust, but until that happens it's the best way to win. Spread the floor and either get to the basket or get someone open.

The world congress needs to bring back hand checking (or at least be consistent with it)

They've made playing defense way too hard especially without charges anymore

I think they should think more outside the box if they really want to change the way the game is played. One idea would be to make the court bigger and really move out the three point line, but that would cost a fortune worldwide to change the court dimensions significantly.

They could also make 3s worth 4 and 2s worth 3.

Ive always thought making dunks worth 3 would be interesting

The 4/3 scoring would be interesting too

Yeah the core problem is that 3 pts per shot is just way more valuable than 2 is. They can come up with all kinds of small ideas but unless you either change the scoring or make threes significantly harder it's not going to change much.

You could maybe move the arc way back and make it touch the sideline and take away the corner 3.

This was a nightmare matchup for BYU. Like when we played Houston last year, you don't want to play a team that plays like you but is better at it.

And then they're just absolutely on fire anyway.

We beat them healthy (that doesn't mean we are better)

We would never defend them like this. What byu has done on that end is embarrassing. A lot of these are wide open

During A&M run beating teams like ole miss and Missouri at the buzzer, the committee ranked A&M tentatively 2nd seed at the time..

I was hoping that A&M team would show up at the tournament...but that was a mirage and the rest is history.

You need talent to be consistent

I mean I don't disagree, I just don't think it's as wide as that guy made it seem

Now byu on the other hand stands no chance. They can't defend at all

BYU also plays like they do. You can frustrate Alabama and get them off their game sometimes but BYU was never going to do that because they want to play the same way.
