Just realized I forgot the rarest but most fun upset type of all. The One Shining Moment - where a team, usually led by one particular player, just goes absolutely nuclear and there's nothing the better team can do about it. The stars just aligned on that particular day to make that team incredible.

Maybe Alabama State is setting up the creep...
Montana was doing a great job at staying within creep distance for most of the game, but couldn't ever pull it back.
Usually a good indicator of a potential creep is a few "mini runs" to bring it back to within 6 points or so. Not enough to truly get the whole crowd up and into it quite yet, but enough to show that you've got some runs in the tank.

I picked VCU to come out of this pod.
Huge 5 minutes for Alabama State here. Get this to halftime within 10 and Auburn will really feel some game pressure.
Ultimately, I'm sure Auburn will run away with this... but I love close 1-16 and 2-15 matchups.

Helpful officiating for McNeese in this one though, letting them be pretty handsy on the perimeter.
Nice flex from Auburn to get their lead back to 10 (from 1) in the last 1:30 or so.

These big guys for Clemson look like they've never played basketball right now. Slow, brick hands, can't get a rebound ... I don't know if McNeese's speed is actually giving them trouble or if the ACC is really this bad.

Did my skepticism of Clemson keep me from taking them in MarcAg's contest, no, of course not
I gave the ACC a bit of the benefit of the doubt, and wondered if they might do well after the UNC game, but its not been great so far today.
One thing McNeese definitely is is athletic and it's giving Clemson problems. Clemson looks like a Big Ten team.
The ACC being reduced to Duke and UNC by lunchtime of the first full day of the Tournament is not helping the allegations.
