And when the Aggies do catch a break, they manage to mess their pants. Remember the Purdue game, 14 point lead, 6 vs 3, their best player out, with a chance to get to Houston for the Sweet 16?

4 really good games tonight. 7 of the 8 coaches have coached in the Final 4. The only one who hasn't??? Pope ...at Kentucky. And he won a national championship playing there. This may be the most power-packed night in the history of the tournament.

Yeah people are talking about the lack of upsets but the upshot is that it's leading to some absolutely titanic games. Duke vs Alabama should be awesome Saturday.

Here's the thing about the Tourney. Often times it's just about matchups. Look at Tech. UNC Wilmington, Drake, and Arkansas. That's a much easier path than A&M was ever going to get.
Should of won more, slated as a 2 until the collapse

Our schedule was back-loaded. I don't think many thought we we were going to end up a 2. We should have gotten a 3, but I don't know that would have led to an easier road for us, at least to the sweet 16 anyway.

Tech's road was easier not nearly as much because they were a higher seed but because they had an 11 seed and a 10 seed pull off upsets to match up with them.

That's the way the bracket opens up sometimes. Look at Baylor's first deep run under Drew. Same deal: three straight double digit seeds to get to the elite eight. Just about any 3-game stretch of SEC play this year had more difficult opponents, which is crazy when you think about the difference between the difficulty of the opponents vs the level of accomplishment.

You could make a decent argument that South Carolina, LSU, and Texas, the bottom 3 teams in the SEC, would have been a tougher road for Tech.

Disagree. Drake was 31-3 entering that game and had just handled Missouri fairly easily. Arkansas got back one of their best players right before the dance and was playing much higher than a 10 seed.

The 11 and 10 next to their team names didn't match the level of opponent each of those teams were imo.

No, and I agree with you. But Tre Johnson on a heater can put anybody in a bad spot. I had Drake winning 2 games.

Can you imagine being a few hours from a Sweet 16 game against one of your biggest rivals? I know the Sweet 16 isn't a huge deal to Tennessee or Kentucky fans but that would be wild.

Wow I picked Mich St to win it this year just to be contrarian since the 1 seeds were so popular among the public. But boy do they look bad. Look like us, but worse.

Mich St literally doesn't know how to dribble. This is pathetic.

I've Watched them a bunch. They can look horrible. And their 3 point % is lower than ours. But they are really fast and athletic so it can turn on a dime. Or they can lose to IU.

I was at UNC-Duke in 2022. Amazing. First time they had ever met in the tournament.

Every second half of the tourney for Michigan state they are in the bonus with 8-10 minutes left while only committing 2-3 fouls themselves.

Really hate Izzo and the b10 hookup.

They force the issue. We force the issue for a while then start chucking.

This isn't about the Ags.

Ole miss kids getting run over no call and contact other end is a whistle.

I haven't seen any bad officiating in this game. OLE Miss has only themselves to blame imo.

Ole Miss has still never made the Elite 8 in basketball.

The beauty of the Sweet 16 is that it acts as a 2.5 hour commercial for your school on prime time television.
Its a great way to showcase your school song and colors to the nation.

Do you think any of us would care about Duke, or Georgetown if these schools hadn't won National Titles?
Would we care about any of these schools if we didn't always see them in March and April kicking ass?
