Agree to me they look like they are going to let them play instead of killing flow by calling ticky tack. Will be interesting how long they stay this way.

This is how girls games are officiated and also why they are virtually unwatchable.
Refs have basically stopped calling traveling when you catch the ball, it's gotten ridiculous the way they let players shuffle their feet around on the catch.

The list of guys who technically do this is quite large.
Problem is when you "let them play" is that both teams just end up taking even more threes because you can't get to the basket and you end up turning it over more and it becomes a terrible watch. You need fouls to be called fouls.

It's 3 to 1 team fouls. If anyone thinks Florida has only committed 1 foul this half...ok I guess. They are calling it even. Can't ask for anything else.

Houston does foul a lot more than Florida normally but it's just absurd officiating to have four fouls in a half. Like our Ole Miss game.
Why isn't uncalled goaltending reviewable? You don't have to stop play. You could review it at the next dead ball.
Hopefully the refs don't take over the 2nd half.
My bet is the refs make themselves the show in the second half and call 15-20 fouls.
Would rather see this than ticky tack hand checking fouls and intentionally trying to open the lane like the NBA does.

They're lucky because they've fouled 5x more than Florida. But, the refs swallowing the whistle on both ends this much favors the far more physical team, which has been UH all year. They are what Buzz wanted his team to be but, with athletes.
Refs were definitely more advantageous to the style of play of Houston in the 1H but Florida looked pretty stagnant out there. They need to adjust their strategy

Yep. For better or worse the Refs have established that they will allow this to be a physical game. Changing this in the 2nd half to now we are going to call every touch is bs.
If they wanted this to be non physical they should of established this from the start.

It's weird to see super aggressive defense that doesn't give up wide open threes. Their way seems to be better.
I resolve in 2026 to be more tolerant and respectful of trolls and emotionally fragile, overly pessimistic posters so they don’t run crying to the mods and have me banned for three days.
They don't give up the baseline. Totally different defense than what buzz runs
I think they need to ditch goaltending being reviewable anyway unless we go to a fourth video official.
