I've been an Aggie hoops fan for 45 years and I'd love to be wrong. But UH (Guy Lewis/Phi Slamma Jamma), Auburn (Barkley and those early 80s teams) and Florida (back to back NCs) have nothing in common with us.
We absolutely have the resources. But go post "Ags host ranked Big 10 team" in November on the Zoo or even Premium and see the response. Without passion, there's no money. And money makes more of a difference now than ever (although contrary to post NIL opinion it has ALWAYS mattered).
Aggies just don't care and they really never have. That's ok. But it means we likely need a good coach to get really lucky and have a FF or 2. Buzz could do that although I think he's had enough. Maybe the next guy.
But don't kid yourself. It won't be our fantastic Aggie support that gets us there. It'll be luck.
