Do people not drive around this state in your world?
Literal home game would be in Lubbock. The final four is not in Lubbock. Also, I don't know. I haven't lived in Texas in 12 years, so maybe people don't drive around the state anymore, but in my world I guess they do.
9/9 favorites have now won from S16 on. And that's after minimal upsets in the early rounds. Very entertaining games so can't complain that much. But have to wonder if we're entering an era of much fewer upsets in March Madness.

How often do programs get to play in their home state in a Final Four? I think if we were in the same position, we would've called it a home game too. But since you want to be absolutely literal, no the tournament isn't in Lubbock.

The bracket was set up for Texas Tech to play Houston in San Antonio for the National Championship but Tech did what they usually do.....and came up just short.
This game was a mirror image of their National Title loss to Virginia in 2019. Tech was sooo close to immortality and they just couldn't close the deal.
If you are ever in ACC country all they talk about is how Texas schools are paper tigers when it comes to major sports. Texans are more into pro sports than they are college sports, and its why teams from smaller south eastern states do so much better.
Texas Tech had a chance to end that narrative and they fell short.
It's early, but it really feels like Bama will need another huge night from 3 to stay in this game.

Meanwhile, Duke doing a great job defending the 3, and you can see how hard it is for Sears to create his own shots against elite defenders. Wade Taylor dealt with this all year in a 14 bid league, without any other shooters spacing the floor.

Duke's a good defensive team but shots just not falling for Alabama so far. Surprised they're as close as they are really. Every time it feels like they've got momentum like that Nelson block sequence Duke answers.

Alabama never had a chance against these refs. Duke playing bully ball and never called for fouls.
