Good win for Tech, but they are gator bait on Saturday IMO.

I don't think he was ballhogging, he just panicked and everyone kinda stood around. No off ball screens, no movement. They all just froze

Texas Tech can even been good at basketball, while we exit with much worse players than them.

If anybody ever feels like they had a bad day, mine started with check engine blowout. CSPD officer nice enough to follow me to Midas to leave it and get a $1,900 repair quote.

Had Arksansas to Elite 8 in my own pool I've won once in 30 years that would have catapulted me into first.

And had a parlay of Zona +9 with Arkansas ML 8:1.

Un****ingbelievable.

ETA: Not that anybody cares but somehow PickHoops now has me at <1% chance to get 2nd when I was all up in the mix to get first. And of course it had to happen at the hands of the hated Tech vs the hated Coach Cal coin toss. That was just the extra kicker and now my rooting tournament life is over in the blink of an eye.

**** Arkansas.

He did, according to the screen. They used one before Braziel hit the 3, but maybe they had carried one over.

Congrats on not making past the round of 32 as a 4 seed.

3 Elite 8s for Tech in 7 years. Zero for Aggies in their History.

Stupid backhanded compliments.

No one knows what will happen, but I just think Florida is a bad matchup and mauls Tech.

They're still in their third Elite 8 in the last 8 years, so either way their program is in good shape.

I'm impressed because very few teams would have pulled out a game like that, but their players were working so hard with rebounds and defense down the stretch. It was like their players were the only ones who believed they had a chance to win.

They are a team you can't ever count out.

Here's the thing about the Tourney. Often times it's just about matchups. Look at Tech. UNC Wilmington, Drake, and Arkansas. That's a much easier path than A&M was ever going to get.

Should of won more, slated as a 2 until the collapse

Texas F'N Tech showed a ton of grit and character last night.
They will be playing Florida for a chance at their 2nd Final Four in 6 years on Saturday.

That was an incredible game. If Texas Tech ends up winning the National Championship this will be a game that will be replayed ad-nauseum.

I'm rooting for Tech or Houston to win the National Title. It always cools to see local schools keep it in the state of Texas.

Tech isn't winning a title or getting to a final four.

This. Akin to Baylor's first two recent Elite 8 appearances, Tech has enjoyed the great fortune of playing double digit seeds in all 3 rounds so far. And just like the Bears, their run is likely to end at the hands of the 1 seed. Still a great season nonetheless

True. Last year Tech drew a buzz-saw NC State and their 400 lb defensive tackle in the first round. Tale of 2 completely different tourneys.

Wilmington was a standard 3 vs. 11 seed.
Drake was next because they upset Mizzou in the first round
Arkansas was next because they upset the #2 seed St. Johns.

So yeah it's an easier path but if the seeds had held it would have been a difficult path on paper with #6 Missouri and #2 St. Johns vs. Drake/Arkansas.

If A&M's bracket had upsets our draw would be more favorable too. That's just how the tourney goes so some years.

Live in lubbock, so we watch many of Techs games. Without a doubt, the Basketball games are the best to attend. It's loud, always full, and they seemed to have something different going on, every night. United Center is a good "seat", and they're new practice gym, players lounge, workout facility looks cool. The last game I attended was vs cellar dweller Colorado on a Wednesday night. It was packed and rowdy. As much as anything- Tech considers themselves as a " basketball school". Florida could give them a beating, but those Tech guys are tough and resilient.

After the Arizona vs Duke game ended, I went to bed instead of watching overtime of the Arkansas vs Texas tech game.

Many fans scratched their heads at why Calipari declined to call a timeout before his team's final possession of the game. The Razorbacks coach has historically let his players play throughout his career, but this seemed to be a time when Arkansas could have used a breather to draw up a better play with their Elite Eight hopes on the line.

In my career, I let that go," Calipari said. "Let the guy get to the rim. They're not going to foul you. With that kind of time, just me, you call a timeout, now you've got to worry about what he's doing, how he's playing, the inbound, what are you doing.

"So I usually let that go. Now, because it ended the way it did, yeah, I wish I would have called a timeout. But 99 percent of the time, I let that go."

John Calipari Ripped by Fans for Head-Scratching Move in Arkansas' Loss to Texas Tech

The Razorbacks led 61-45 with under 10 minutes remaining and then 69-56 with 4:43 left before Texas Tech engineered its ferocious comeback. The Red Raiders finished the half on a 16-3 run, with Christian Anderson (nine points) and Darrion Williams (seven points) providing the entire offensive output.

Officially, the Red Raiders' Sweet Sixteen comeback is the second-biggest of all time. In 2006, UCLA overcame a 17-point deficit to defeat Gonzaga 73-71.

As for Arkansas, this is simply a brutal loss for a team that had great momentum after upsetting No. 2 seed St. John's in the Sweet Sixteen. The Razorbacks should have coasted to the Elite Eight, and ESPN gave them a 97.9 percent chance to win when they held a 69-56 lead.

However, the 2.1 percent prevailed here, and fans looked toward Razorbacks head coach John Calipari as a prime reason for the defeat.

Well, Tech was a higher seed. So they should have easier games.

He's just talking about the upsets that happened in front of them.

Tech made the elite eight with wins over 14, 11, and 10 seeds.

Nobody is going to remember that years from now, but it is a bit of luck. Neither Michigan nor Auburn were upset on our bracket like Missouri and St. John's were in theirs.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Like nobody will remember that Tennessee was the first #1 overall to win the CWS in like 20 years, and it had to be the year we were #2, and didn't lose a game the entire season to a non-SEC team.
