No doubt, extremely low. But, I truly don't care and it has nothing to do with the plot of the show and/or how it ends next season.

Question, when vechna was giving the villain speech to El and it cut to the kid playing with spiders while he was manipulating the ether in to the mind flayer, it was just showing those scenes as flashbacks, correct? He was talking about finding a way to influence the real world while in his new place and the way it was presented was like he was going in to that kids mind to kill his parents, but I was 100% sure before that scene that he WAS the kid.
same...must be genetics because jonathan sucks tooNukeAg10 said:
I love this season, but Will was awful.

My one concern is that I just don't see where you take these characters next season in terms of their emotional stakes/character arcs. Because just about everyone feels like they evolved emotionally to the point of reaching the end of their respective character arcs, in pretty significant fashion. I totally get that there's plenty of *plot* left, but their character journeys feel complete. More than anything, that's why the final episode felt like a series finale and not a season finale, save for those last few minutes. I just really hope it they have somewhere to take take these characters mentally and not just physically.
Off the top of my head:
- Will still has to come out
- Nancy and Jonathan having to admit their relationship is over
- Steve maybe having to get over Nancy
- Dustin grieving Eddie
- Max escaping Vecna (Maybe has to make another emotional breakthrough to escape? Or maybe sacrifice herself.)
- The only characters who are kind of a blank slate going forward are Hopper and Joyce, but even then I feel like there's still plenty of stuff to mine with his dead daughter.

As much as I loved the character and the MOP scene, was anyone else annoyed at just how completely pointless Eddie's death was? What exactly was his end goal? Steve et al were already inside the house, and Eddie knew that. What was the point of his sacrifice other than to provide the audience with an emotional gut punch?
Also, Eddie's death essentially guarantees that Steve does not die next season, as Eddie's death was basically a stand in for Steve as the older brother figure to Dustin. You can't play that cord twice in the same show.

Ha, I feel the exact opposite. That would be depressing as hell, IMO. She's already had such a hard, tragic life, that I feel like/hope the show "rewards" her with a relatively normal one when all is said and done.
I was thinking about what would be the best way to definitively conclude the show. IMO, the only way to do that is to close El's storyline. I think instead of dying perhaps she has to somehow close the gate(s) from the upside down. She ends up alive but separated from everyone.TCTTS said:

I agree, I would hate if El winds up dying
If any of the core group sacrifices themself, it just has to be Will.

Can someone explain why Eddie felt he needed to go back instead of escape with Dustin? Dustin called him a "hero" at the end, but it wasn't clear to me he saved anyone.
That said, I thought Joseph Quinn did an incredible job with the role and hope to see more of him in the future. I also thought the actor who played Jason was great but wish they hadn't turned him psycho at the end.

Agreed. Not sure how that bought more time unless the bats could go through the tear and kill regular townsfolk. We know they ate fish through the tear so maybe they would have gone through and killed everyone.

because they are part of the hive mind, and it keeps venca from calling them back to the house., of course, you'd think that the hive mind could prioritize targets, since at that point Vecna knew what was up.
