Someone brought up Max's coma being like Han in carbonite, then my wife asked me who her dad was and it clicked. I actually don't think it is, because that would really make the flashback interactions in the lab super weird. But her dad has to be connected somewhere. Also, her mom is still alive but brain dead right? Maybe whatever she does to help Max also helps her Mom?

They announced it back in Feb. Season 5 is the final season.

Can someone explain why Eddie felt he needed to go back instead of escape with Dustin? Dustin called him a "hero" at the end, but it wasn't clear to me he saved anyone.

That said, I thought Joseph Quinn did an incredible job with the role and hope to see more of him in the future. I also thought the actor who played Jason was great but wish they hadn't turned him psycho at the end.


Eddie and Dustin didn't know what was going on with the rest of them. In their minds they were saying lives, and for a while they were. They had no communication with the rest of the group, so they were charged with distracting the bats as long as they could.

Eddie made the decision to go back out and continue to distract then despite knowing he probably wasn't going to make it.

At least he didn't go out singing, " All I want to be is an Airborn Ranger…"

Don't think so. He was in maybe an episode in S3 - the one where he helps Joyce understand why the magnets in her house aren't working. At least, I think that was S3.

That is correct -- he demo'd some magnet stuff to her, and I think it was season 3 as well.

What happened to Dr. Owens? Are we supposed to assume he was killed in the Nina compound? Or did I miss something?

I'm not convinced Will is gay. He is very sensitive and feels he lost his best friend to a girl, so whenever those two are being close, it rubs salt in the wound. As for official sources saying Will loves someone (I think that happened?), then maybe he is. Based on what's happened on screen though, I think that could be explained by him just not growing up as fast as his friends, being robbed of childhood, having weird feelings his experiences left with him, etc. Even the conversation Will had with Mike in the van could be explained by the pain of him needing his friend in a platonic way. Not saying he can't be gay, I'm just not convinced. Not every sensitive artistic type is gay. Meh. It's OK with me if I'm wrong.

You're right that not every sensitive artist type is gay, but there's no way he doesn't come out next season. They're laying it on so incredibly thick. Not in a he-has-crush-on-someone kind of way, but they're so clearly underlining the fact that he has a secret that makes him feel different, and I'd be willing to bet just about anything the secret is that he's gay.
