He did it to himself with razorblades. They show him doing in when he's put in jail.
so the kid was truly the first of his kind - killed his family, and I guess he was in a coma after the episode? the then gets picked up by Brenner and becomes One? Later - he then gets 11 to remove the chip from his neck, kills all the kids, and 11 bounces him to the upside down. How did he turn into Vecna? Where was he the past 5 years?.Brian Earl Spilner said:

Steve's been the highlight of the series whether he's interacting w/ Dustin or Robin.

Well rules are immediately broken, but solid ones.

Kinda funny. Never thought about this.Quote:
Winona Ryder's real-life rise to stardom in the late-1980s will determine the show's chronology, with the Duffers indicating they are being mindful of her early career, especially the release of the 1988 Tim Burton film Beetlejuice: "That's the threshold we can't cross, which is once Winona is a superstar in the world, like the show has to stop, because [the paradox will make the kids' heads] spontaneously combust or something."
I think it would be amazing if they did cross that line and Joyce makes some snide comment about Winona.

Just watched Ep1; that thing at the end and her body breaking that way, was ... haunting
I thought of 2 questions nobody has thought about yet - what do you think?HouseDivided06 said:
Ok so trying spoiler tags for a theory but last time I did on a phone, it didn't work right so might edit and post again tomorrow
ok so I had the same thought that Vecna is the mind flayer. In his monologue he talks about how the more people he kills, the stronger he gets. In season 3, we see bodies become possessed and then explode and congregate to the mind flayer, making him stronger and bigger with each death. I think the mind flayer is the personification of Vecna after he went to the upside down and how he gains strength on earth. Hawkins was just ground 0 for all of that but he has ports and gates in other areas clearly. Also I don't think the tentacles are El. Think about season 3 when they would burn the tentacles and Will would be hurt and burned. Never happened to El. I would think if El was connected to that; she would have been affected.
I said the exact same thing to my wife, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING EL!!!! THOSE LOOK AMAZING!!!"Brian Earl Spilner said:
I'm still upset they left that diner before the food came. Those waffles looked so good. What a waste.
