In the motion re: TdA members in Venezuela now, he actually wrote that a remote hearing could be provided in lieu of bringing them back, he just wants the government to tell him of plans either way within 2 weeks.

Far be it from me to defend Bozoberg, but I think he is right that SCOTUS has held 24 hours notice is essentially required prior to removal, and some right of appeal is attendant in that period. This one is essentially just another of his tantrums though, which he will yet again lose against Trump.

There's no practical way at this point to legally 'bring them back' or hold a hearing in…Venezuela at this point. What does he want Rubio to do, ask Maduro to put them on an oil tanker?

Boasberg is not doing this to enforce laws or protect rights, he is doing this to thwart the Trump administration. Its judicial activism and harassment.

Looks like 5 clear votes against that (unless there is an actual insurrection)

More practically, Trump is well on his way to lame duck status, so his allies may not go for more radical approaches that would hand immense power to whoever gets elected in 2028.

Judge Amir Ali will be reversed yet again on appeal. He was confirmed in late Nov 2024, 50-49 with even Sinema voting against him but Mike Braun was derelict in his duty to vote so he got confirmed anyway. Egyptian-Canadian moslem who shouldn't even have a bar card, let alone serve as a federal jurist.


Let's see which communist judge steps up to the plate on this one.

I just had to explain the SCOTUS decision on national guards in Illinois to my 80yo father-in-law.

He's now in the recliner with a cold rag on his forehead and doing breathing exercises before he strokes out.

Just withhold federal highway dollars. It's been done many times before.

That or restrict vehicles on federal highways with a new standard like "verified driver" requiring work authorization, visa or citizenship.

If NY and lib judges want to keep pushing this, we can keep making new laws to combat it.

Can't get a Real ID compliant DL if you're illegal...well, unless the state violates federal law.

Should implement a program/rule to require non-compliant states to have citizens obtain a passport/card that is compliant if the state is issuing licenses to illegal aliens which might be used to endanger air travelers. This likely wouldn't even require legislation I'd think so Rubio needs to expedite such an action.

CBP could also set up checkpoints on the interstate similar to how it is done near the RGV to check for compliance/safety near NYC/Canadian border areas.
