Now that iran has successfully dragged its neighbors i to this, and those neighbors generally are friendlier to the United States, it probably makes our "off ramp" even easier.

I'll have to have a longer conversation about this once she gets the kids to sleep, but her short version was that him and his entire family have been in high positions and are all very corrupt.

I will say she saw his picture and said "oh no!" Before reading the post, so he's made his mark on her.

They are more ecstatic and public than I would have anticipated. I pray that we have ops to restore internet country wide so that the Persia can show the world who they are

To be fair, they did accept Syria's Assad in exile. Did he pay his way into their protection or does he have some other value to Russia?

Here's the problem. Still lots of lifelong oppressors who have abused and bullied a population for their whole lives. There's lots of fighting left in Iran by Iranians to make sure this goes through

My grandmother and her siblings were 100% Persian. The pictures and stories my great aunt had about visiting Iran were those of a great country.

Hoping it can return and bring some stability to the Middle East for a change.

It's gonna be a tough few weeks or months but worth it if successful!

We better hope that Trump and Israel have an underground government waiting to take over once all the bombs have stopped. This will all be for nothing, again, if they don't.

That video proves that the current regime is still very much in control. People can post a million videos of Iranians celebrating, but it doesn't mean jack if they will just be cowed when someone shows up with a gun.

It reminds me of Covid. The plurality of people on here and at large would talk a big game about the government overreach and mask craziness, but when it came down to it they did nothing to stop it.
