good that Israel took out a large chunk of Iran's ADA last summer. That has been most helpful

Got to get the rest of the launchers that were not finished off last summer as well

Revenge is going to be ugly on the regime after the recent massacres. Moussad is likely ramping this up as we speak.

Shaping the battlefield. Add to that the knowledge gained from the Maduro operation on Russian and Chinese ADA in Venezuela is extremely useful.

Actually, I think the Saudis were playing the long con here. Buying time for final preparations by the US and Israel. They placated the Iranians but were completely ready to back us when the shooting started. Saudis knew Iranians would be stupid enough to lob some missiles at their ME neighbors providing the excuse for the flip.

Going to quote myself to elaborate on this in such a fast moving thread. Saudis were looking at this as a win/win for them. They placate the Iranians playing them out but say for some reason the US/Israeli attacks were ineffective or somehow failed. Saudis keep their powder dry and have no repercussions within their region.

Granted, the chances of joint US/Israeli military failure are small but it has happened such as when Carter tried to intervene during the hostage crisis. (Israelis were not involved with that, which looking back was a mistake not to bring them in.)

Someone started a "politics of it all forum". I would prefer clean updates as what is happening on the ground in this thread. It has worked pretty well on the Russia-Ukraine thread.
