I have to say I have no idea how Trump expects the unarmed Iranian people to rise up against a well-equipped army in a country in which a significant percentage of the population believes in the Mullahs.

Israel blocked alot of information coming out during last summer but alot of Iranian stuff got through. Our bases outside Israel are even less equipped to shoot down drones and missiles. It's about destroying their launch capabilities as fast as possible

They're sending lots and lots of missiles and drones to flood the system. I think theyre less effective than previous attempt. Further, theyre attacking many more targets that are not Iron Dome level.

I do not think we will leave any of the regime in place since this is day 2 and Trump predicted a month long fight. Who knows though, there certainly isnt a handbook for removing a 50 year old Shiite Muslim republic

That is my fear as well. Half-assing things isn't unknown and would be a terrible result.

That is my fear as well. Half-assing things isn't unknown and would be a terrible result.

Not too concerned yet about that as the populace can be armed (secretly of course) fairly quickly. Mossad, Saudis, Kuwaitis, etc.

I feel the opposition and that Iran is way underperforming. The fear all along of doing this is that they would overwhelm us with ICBMs that we really never saw first time around.

But they really haven't. There have been a few hits and some drones getting through but nothing major. Still early I guess but they've been decapitated at this point. Just wildly shooting according to their own government.

Given how many of the regime have been wiped out in 48 hours, I don't think that's a realistic possibility.

Something new is coming, we just need to work and cross our fingers that what comes next is significantly better. From what I understand, the younger generation (40ish and below) in Iran is fairly progressive and much more western than their older generations.

Maybe an RFID and then readers placed at a strategic funnel point (eg - an entrance to a meeting room)? Still farfetched, but it is the Mossad we're talking about here

I was thinking RFID communicating to cell phone. Use the phone gps to get the location and transmit it via wifi, even if they have cellular service turned off.

Traffic through the straight has dwindled to very little. With one going full Leroy Jenkins
