We've got personnel everywhere at those bases to retain the ability to attack. We won't know for a while until they tell us what location the men died at.

The U.S. war gamed a conflict with Iran 24 years ago where the Iran side sank the U.S. fleet with a salvo of rockets early on.

Hopefully we've built to prevent this in the 24 years since. Iran attempting to overwhelm our fleet with rockets has been a big concern of mine since this latest conflict started.

Where is the intel connecting an actual strike on the carrier group? I heard about the targeting of with limited numbers but nothing else.
Also, wouldn't Iran require active intel from China on the location, speed, and heading of the carriers? If that is the case, China would be actively involved which i do not see happening.

I'm not going to pretend I have a this info memorized but I've seen enough to know it wasn't true. I'm pretty into the potential China conflict so I follow a good bit of this.

Diesel subs on battery can be super quiet, they just don't have much range. At the same time, I'm sure the systems we have to detect them have advanced significantly in the 30 years since I've been out.

Yep, some of the videos out yesterday were from us based personal.

The video shows a patriot battery going off and you hear american voices say "get it" only to have a missle impact a couple seconds later pretty close. The american voices then all say "oh ****"

Interesting because most of us have probably read over the years that Iran would be challenging in the water because their little fast attack boats would give our larger ships hell. I believe I've see war game outcomes where this was the case.

That all seems to have been bull***** I was always skeptical anyway. If you can't get your boats out of port in the first place, then there is not much threat on the water.

those freaking launchers have got to be taken out, hope they got the ones firing this salvo. If they were ballistic I bet the IDF got them. Hopefully, we can get enough ADA suppression to loiter some aircraft and hit them the before they launch. The have to expose themselves to setup and fire.
