If we hire Kellen Moore as HC I may be done as a cowboys fan. It would simply show the ineptitude of ol Jerruh and I can't take 3-5 more years of it.

I was hoping the Cowboys would at least interview both Joe Brady and Ben Johnson. Doesn't look like Jerry is interviewing either one of them, which is ridiculous. The list of candidates I've seen so far is a joke.

We all better start preparing for it. Jerry is a creature of habit and he continues to make the same mistakes over and over.

Kellen is just another one of his golden boys. It is VERY likely this is the hire.

Who would have ever thought that the Eagles & commanders would be playing for a spot in the Super Bowl? Cowboys have a deep hole to crawl out of just to win their division.

Do they? They beat Wash once w Rush and came within 4 points w Lance. This division has changed at the top pretty much every year for a couple of decades.

Wash has had a good run but let's not go overboard. The margins are so small in the NFL.

The margins are microscopic in the NFL, but having a Jayden Daniels raises your floor immensely (and ceiling of course). As long as they draft decent enough and stay healthy they'll be a 10 win team or better for the foreseeable future. I don't think people are giving enough credit to Daniels for the season he had and the type/level of player he is. Considering what he's done in the playoffs now, I think there's a real argument for him having the greatest rookie QB season ever.

sure. Having a good QB makes all the diff. As much as fans hate to say it, we still have a good QB.

I think we've also seen guys break onto the scene and take a step back after their rookie year. You can't bank on that but let's wait just a bit to anoint Daniels. And let's not forget quinn, while loved by his players, still has a huge weakness, IMO. Had Detroit run the ball more, they could have won that game. Wash still sucks at stopping the run.

1000% agree. Washington was drafting No. 2 overall for a reason last year, and even though Daniels covers a lot of issues, their roster still is pretty average outside of McClaurin and a couple of guys on defense. It's why I could see them getting beat by 10+ against the Eagles. Then you add Qunn's career issues and they have plenty of work to do, totally agree.

Which brings me to the Dak point. For the end of Daks time with the Cowboys, we need to surround him with as much talent as humanly possibly. If Luther Burden is available at 12 when the Cowboys pick comes around, I am not hesitating to draft him, and then I am absolutely going to draft an RB in either the 2nd or 3rd.

Agree on the draft. I would def add a WR high. I've seen some mocks of McMillan being there. I would sprint to the podium to take him.

Very interested in this draft in general, because while from a QB perspective I think it's very weak, but on the other hand I think it's very good in a lot of other areas. So how aggressive will teams be to not only draft guys in the top 10, but move up to get them. I would take McMillan or Burden tomorrow. We need to catch Detroit and the Eagles in the offensive skill position category.

McMillan is clearly WR1 in this draft, so the reason I said Burden was because I think he is more explosive as an athlete than Egbuka. Egbuka is a little bigger and, longer etc., but Burden is an overall better athlete.

And our inevitable turn into the later Al Davis-led Raiders is coming along quickly. Assistant coach that has never been a head coach before, like Kellen Moore, who would never stand up to Jerry or Stephen, and would love the chance to become a head coach. Within the next decade, the only coaches we will have here will be the same resume but also the youngest coach in the league--because ANYONE who has accomplished anything will known or be told to avoid Dallas like the plague...just like the Raiders under Al.
