That ref ran CeeDee over.

Definitely some type of personal isdue but wasn't sure if they ever actually said what it was. Hope he got help and can stay clean if thats the case. Gotta be tough as a pro athlete avoiding temptations like that

Glad we can quit the milton hype quick. One day Jerry is going to have to spend draft capital on a QB.

The only fans hyping him were the "NFL only" crowd. Nobody who watched in college had any illusions about him.

Didn't see the game here in Houston. Any positives besides no big injuries? Any rooks look good?

Overall execution by the Rams was far better than Dallas.
Very poor tackling by Dallas.
LA running backs ran fast, followed their blocks and finished hard. Corum and that White Guy from Missouri were excellent
Bennett ( Ram QB ) showed leadership and play making ability.
Ram receivers were not only open every play but Dallas o-line couldn't put pressure on Bennett ( or stop the run for that matter )
Dallas needs a dependable backup QB. Grier is the better if the two but there has to be someone better out there.
Yup, it's only pre- season but after the reports of poor scrimmage and line play against the Rams, I kinda expected a better overall showing.
Again: Pre season.

I wanted to use Milton as an example of what I've never understood about how the NFL evaluates players.
Why do you constantly hear about how Milton has all of the tools and he just needs to develop. I'm sorry, but if your WR is legit 15 yards wide open and you overthrow him by 10 yards, you do NOT have all the tools. Accuracy is not something you can teach. You can improve it some, but you can't teach it.
Just frustrating to watch teams look at QBs and think "I can fix him". I guess it's fine for now, but you already know he's never going to be a franchise QB in the NFL and he's currently not a better back-up QB than Will Grier.

I agree 100%. I know it's been talked about here before, but everyone is trying to find the "next" Josh Allen and some teams use high draft capital to do that. At least we didn't use a high 1st like the Colts did on Richardson.
We only traded a 5th and if he sucks this year and next, can cut him. Very few 5th round picks make the team anyway, so I'm totally fine with the dart throw.
The problem with trying to find the "next" Josh Allen is that Josh Allen is basically the ONLY success of taking a raw but athletically gifted prospect and refining their accuracy and decision-making. Jalen Hurts could be another similar example, but I think he was a bit more of a gifted passer than Allen was coming out. The other one I will be interested to see is Jalen Milroe - I think he is the next closest option for a developmental prospect that could be good eventually.
