Interesting tidbit about Elam…his dad, Abram, played for the Cowboys in 06 and 11. Was starting safety in 11.

Another solid signing. Just like CB, you still need to draft a LBer but it doesn't make it a flashing red light like it was before.

Sanborn joining Eberflus is very Kendricks rejoining Zimmer. Good to have a guy who already knows the system in the room.

I don't mind that strategy at all. Bet on pedigree and see if a change of scenery/system has any impact on performance.

Good for him! Always liked the way this guy played the game and he deserves it.

But this is one the Cowboys got right. We drafted a guy last year (Kneeland) that should be able/ready to slide in and take his spot next year. I can't say that Kneeland will be better, but he appeared to be very solid last year at a fraction of the cost.

Sam Williams should also be in the mix

I'm the opposite. Most of these 1st round guys are physical freaks that have been able to dominate inferior talent in high school and college. In the NFL, everyone is a physical freak and you actually have to work hard to be good. I see a first round bust and my first thought is that they are too lazy to be good or have other mental issues that keep them from handling the pressure

agree. Happy for him but glad Dallas didn't pay that.

Also agree that I would love to see Dallas double up at running back. There will be another decent RB available in the 6th or so.

I almost feel like we might be wasting our time with these has been WRs over 30. Don't think we'd get any more from them than we got from Cooks.

I'm wondering if our best bet is to draft somebody like Bond from TU (probably have to take him in the 3rd). I haven't studied him specifically, but if he's a legit burner/deep threat I'll take it. We already have a WR that can get open from any spot on the field.... I don't need another possession receiver to pair with Lamb... I want a guy whose speed scares the bejesus out of the other D coordinator.

Agree. The Kupp and Amari Cooper talk is kinda Meh, to me. Cooper looked washed in Buff.
