Are you saying the Chiefs win multiple SB without Mahomes? Because he seems pretty important to me.

I'm sure he is saying on the field for a defense. A disruptive monster of a DT is a bigger problem on all 4 downs than an edge, especially an undersized one that fades likely because he is undersized. Nobody would say more than a QB; that's the most important position in sports.

Chiefs don't win multiple superbowls without Jones or without Mahomes.

Don't trade for anything but 1s. If you get any later round pick, the stupid gm will trade it for another project player that already has shown they can't play in this league.

You shoukd get a Khalil Mack type haul for Parsons. If not, it's a bad trade.

I'd bet a lot of money they still have 3 SB wins with just Mahomes. DT is absolutely a need position but with current rules and play QB trumps everything.

Not bad news. From what I've read and heard I don't know what type of role Blue was going to have early in the season anyways, so him missing week one or so if that's the case isn't a massive deal imo. They're going to rely on NFL vets.

I think DT is the most important / valuable position on the field.

Chiefs have Chris Jones. Eagles Jalen Carter.

This is just objectively wrong

Sounds like Diggs will be ready for the season. Maybe not a week 1 starter or even week 1 active, but I'm hearing that he will NOT start the season on PUP or IR... he'll make the roster and be ready to go very soon.

That's really big news!

Hendrickson and McLaurin signed today. Everyone point and laugh at the Cowboys! **** you Jerry, for the thousandth time!
Infection_Ag11

That's not really a fair comparison. Hendrickson and McLaurin are on the back half of their careers signing large short deals with voidable backends. Micah Parsons is coming off his rookie deal looking to become the highest paid non-QB in history with more guaranteed money than any player period got prior to 2020. And Micah has been pretty immature to be honest.

It's just different

Absolutely. While McLauren, 29 is excellent, he's not Elite. Hendrickson is 30 with back to back 17 sack seasons

I believe either has the ceiling of Micah.

However, we have no idea how Micah is going to react down the road. Is he divisive?

would be great to get 2 firsts for him.

No matter, Jerry will sign him just before the season starts to keep the drama and attention going a bit longer. I just hope Micah doesn't carry a grudge ala Charles Haley with Siefert…

So what are thoughts on the record this year.

6-11
7-10?

Hard to look at our schedule and find more wins than that
Daveintx

I think they can wrangle 10 wins outta this.... which won't get them much but another middle of the pack pick

No idea.

I would not be shocked if this whole thing just works and we are one of the best teams in the NFC this year.

I would also not be shocked if the wheels come off completely and we are drafting top 10 in a few months.

The only thing I know for certain is I'm gonna keep saying "This is our year!". Been saying it every year since Romo took over, why stop now!

5-12 with or without parsons. They will beat the cupcakes and get stomped by all the others.

If we stay healthy I think the ceiling is 10 wins. Just don't think we have the talent at DT and RB, and overall depth to push for more.

If we stay relatively healthy but things just don't work at all I think the floor is 7 wins.

If we have significant injuries we're drafting top 5.

This is my prediction as well. 10-7 and unexpected playoff win. I think Washington comes back to earth a little and I think Philly gets decimated with injuries.

Depending on injuries obviously, but I will say floor is 7-10 and ceiling 10-7. They just have a brutal schedule this year. Eagles twice, Chiefs, the whole NFC North, who knows if the Commanders take another step forward. You got Kyler at AT&T Stadium where he seemingly never loses. So I'm going to say 8-9. It would be great if they can reach 10 wins and sneak into the playoffs.

We'll beat some teams "better" than us, but also lose to some teams we shouldn't.

Cowboys always seem to play well when everyone writes them off. If Dak plays 17 games Ill predict 12 wins.

I agree with 8-9, which would be a travesty and wholly blame-able on the Jones family.

I'm more of an optimist this year. I'm not sure why. I just like this offense and think the defense will do just enough to keep us in most games.

I'm going to say 10-7.

Losses: Philly (2), @ Washington, KC, Detroit, Minnesota, @ Denver.

I think we sweep the G-Men and beat Washington at home. I also have us starting the year strong by winning against the Jets, Chicago, Carolina and yes, Green Bay. We beat Oakland and the Chargers and Kyler has to lose at some point at Jerry World. This is the year.

Nothing from 6 to 11 wins would surprise me. I think people are underestimating how explosive our passing game will be and our secondary should be very good by mid season if everyone is healthy. Teams with great passing games and secondaries can win a lot of games in the modern NFL.

At the same time, I can see a scenario where the OL/DL are poor enough to offset that and we lose double digit games.

Someone check on George Dunham. He's been hyping Vaughn on the Ticket for 3 years.

it sucks that a lot of teams not named the Cowboys can get value out of these gimmicky undersized rbs and wrs.....

I guess we did get a lot of great value from cole beasley....until jerry ran him out of town

To be fair we already have that undersized gimmicky guy in Turpin.

We are deep at DL, we just don't know how well they will play. And I think everyone is overlooking how much we've upgraded at LB. The run defense will be better because of that.

he's so gimmicky that I forgot about him haha. Nah, I do like turpin...just wondering when his body is inevitably going to explode into 1k pieces after a tackle

The only reason I'd be upset with this move is if they waive him but keep Sanders.

The main issue with Vaughn is he's a #2 or #3 back that gives you nothing on special teams coverage units.

But neither does Sanders who needs to go too.
