I don't know the posters dad, but he's likely be in a better position to know than a nurse. The whole reimbursement deal seems like a good story with very little evidence, especially given the lengthy payment cycle.

Edit. Don't have time to do lot of research on it now but here's one article on the reimbursement. It's fox news though so you probably won't read it, though it does say "there are no reports of flagrant exploitation, exaggerated coronavirus numbers, or evidence that facilities are purporting to profit off the pandemic to collect more in Medicare payments" which goes against my original statement.

Hospitals are paid more for Medicare patients confirmed or presumed to have coronavirus

1) How on God's green earth am I crapping on the nurse? Saying she isn't in a position as a unit nurse to know isn't an insult.

I'm married to a Oncologist who is a partner in her practice and sits on several organizational level boards which pay close attention to the reimbursement cycles. I hope that is substantial for you.

Wow, you're quick. I took down my three statements very quickly. Don't even remember what #2 was. FWIW my oncologist was nervous about the virus in the beginning as well. Have a great day.

I don't have a link, but it was reported on Fox Business that Michigan's governor decided to lift her stay at home order today. I think some businesses can open immediately but there was the ability to have 100 or less congregate, which I'm sure won't apply to any rioters/protests. Interesting timing...

A day after 0 deaths, Dallas County is reporting 16 deaths. Either that's a crazy statistical anomaly, slow reporting mechanisms queued up over the weekend, or some weird shuffling of cards to catch headlines.

So, since the riot outbreak the Weather Channel app no longer has the COVID reporting module. I guess they have also decided this is now a non-event not worthy of news. That was how I was tracking numbers because it was easy and at my fingertips.

I'm fairly certain the Monday numbers are almost always lower than the Tuesday numbers due to weekend reporting. I've seen it discussed by the media several times.

Please note that Dallas County has changed to reporting suspected cases. This is a different metric than confirmed cases that were reported up until the end of May.

Not saying what metric should be used, but they are not the same thing.

not dfw related, my wife talked to her aunt in Winnsboro, SC (population 3550) last night and her 21 yo son tested positive for covid after attending a party. The majority of party goers have also tested positive
