Work in Dallas. Near downtown. No enforcement at office. Didn't go to store or restaurant though.
I'm at a medical clinic in Dallas. Staff is masked and has been for a few weeks now, but we're still letting it be optional for patients at this time.
Looks like about 30-40 people do.

That is interesting. I would expect medical clinics to be more strict.
I think my company and many others are sick and tired of the rule changes and are just letting people make their own decisions vs continual policy changes. Its exhausting.

Plano is having an Emergency Board Meeting on August 23 at 8AM. All about masks. Fully expect a mask mandate. Wife and I likely both to attend. This will never end.
Good turnout for the "pro-choice" crowd at PISD meeting. At least 2:1 in favor of choice. Could be as much as 3:1.

What does the board really have to discuss in a closed session? It should take 5 minutes for the attorney to tell them this is going to be subject to a legal challenge. Have open dialogue and speak in front of your constituents instead of hiding in a closed session.

Agree. Nothing being discussed right now likely was not known by all on the Board. Maybe some debate but ultimately I think they are intentionally delaying to reduce speakers...could be wrong...but that is my thought....
With the 6 or 8 iterations of legal motions within Texas courts, I know that part of the meeting is to walk the board through what it all means. Interpretations of the rulings. Courses of action to prepare for. Risk / benefit of each course of action etc. Lawsuits or exposure to lawsuits will also be part of that discussion.

You need to counter all the emotional pleas about elementary aged kids who can't get vaccinated. The flu is a greater risk to elementary aged kids and the CDCs own hospitalization data backs it up.
I had to leave but my wife is there and will be speaking.
Watching the meeting live and it continues a trend of more pro-choice. I was a little "concerned" maybe some of the pro-choice might not sign up to speak and just show up with signs but not the case....

I think this will increase mask wearing as some parents wont know / mess with it but allows my kids and others to be exempt. Cody Weaver cracked me up as he kept clarifying the "philosophical exemption" so people would know why he voted for it....allows him to say "he cared" while giving anyone an out...
