Biggest challenge of Arteta's managerial career now to get this team off the mat. They have been awful.
Keeper, defense and offense have been subpar!

Such a damn disappointing showing so far. Arsenal doing nothing to change the perception of being almost good enough. Also watching my daughter's club team mail it in today at their State Cup tournament.

Agreed...especially with Odegaard and Eze. We're painfully thin in the middle of the field and not getting much creation from there.
I'll be honest, I really couldn't care less about this result. It would have been nice to win but it does nothing to move the needle one way or another for me. If anything, I'm looking forward to it reinvigorating the squad and reminding them that the real work is still in front of us.

Well neither odegaard or Eze have been great at being a creator and honestly our wingers are always doubled which has been a challenge especially for saka.
Well, the pressure is going to ramp up. And they deserve it.
Kepa needs to be sold or relegated to #3 next season. Give one of the young GKers backup duty to start prepping them take the reigns from Raya.

That's an interesting take considering we're at the top in the EPL by a significant margin and getting results in the UCL.
The pressure has not changed one bit for our players. They got beat today with a subpar keeper and inadequate possession of the ball in the second half. That rarely happens to us.
Honestly city wete better but without Kepa making mistakes city had no shots on goal.
Obviously, a lot of the Kepa talk after this game will be about the goal, but I hope people don't forget about the period before the goal where we would take a goal kick and then he'd just stand there with the ball for what felt like an hour.
Love how City have been absolutely awful over the last few weeks and then we go and turn that performance in. Way to step up in the moment. And I said it all week that you start your best players in a final. Kepa was a mistake starting this match

That's because City knows he can't pass for sheet so they cut off all his passing lanes to give him no exit
Arteta also needs to make the big call and bench Saka going forward. You don't get to start based on name alone and his performances have been really poor.
Agree with this profoundly. Saka has been awful. Not sure why he keeps getting the nod.
I blame Saka's drop in performance to getting engaged. Planning the wedding has taken away best Saka.
Agree with prior sentiments about this hardware, and how it is insignificant in the grander scheme of things. However, what is not insignificant is the precedence under Arteta for this team to not win when it matters most. Three more opportunities to win hardware this season, so let's hope today provides a mental reset for squad and staff for the push through the EPL and the CL.
Yep. What's done is done, but I hope this loss and the pending bad press motivates this team to get back out and play their butts off the rest of the Champions/Premier League.

Gabriel & Trossard have both pulled out of their NTs with knee and back injury issues. Calafiori apparently has a calf issue but will most likely go play for Italy (who notably is in the playoffs to get to the World Cup).
