Wojo tweeted that we're still lurking in the Josh Smith sweepstakes.

They want Asik and Parsons, and we won't do that unless Morey sees Smith as our "max deal" player.... and he's just not that.

Some of you guys are setting yourselves up for real disappointment when Dwight resigns with LA. It's not just the additional $30 mil guaranteed either. There's a lot of other additional financial benefits to being the face of the Los Angeles Lakers.

I do think you guys find a way to land J-Smoove today which will be a hell of a pick up.

the rockets should NOT trade for josh smith

the knicks probably still regret trading for carmelo when they could've had him for dollars 3 months later. They gave away all of their up and coming young players. Gallo + Melo would've been ****ing sick.

Josh is going to be a free agent. Give him the max contract and be done with it.

Rocket stat news from Red94.

StatCheck - James Harden is averaging 27.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 2 steals and .17 blocks per game in February. Kevin Durant is averaging 26.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.71 steals and 1.29 blocks over that same span.

Durant’s shooting 51.8% compared to Harden’s 53.1%.

Aside from the past few games, Oklahoma City had been blowing teams out by 20 all month with Durant playing only 30 minutes a game. James Harden has been playing out of control and will probably win WC Player of the Month, but let's keep things in perspective.

I'd never even heard of that until now. I'll try it out.

I'm definitely not a very dedicated fan in that I will not go too far out of my way to watch them at this point. I love the Rockets but right now I got young kids which take priority over everything.

I think I might be the only nerd who follows this stuff, but the Rockets Power Rankings (Hollinger) is up to 4th, behind Spurs, Thunder, and Heat. Pretty sure it's because of our _6.73% margin in the last 25%, with an actually .515 SOS.


So the Hollinger Playoff Odds have us projected as a 6 seed with a 97.2% chance of making the playoffs. Then again, last year we were in the 90s and collapsed down the stretch. Then again, we didn't have Harden.

I don't have any numbers to back this up, but it seems like the past 3 years or so our Hollinger ranking has always been ~5 spots better compared our regular power ranking or current standings. The number crunchers like our team, but the results haven't quite panned out yet.

Yea McHale said the new guys might not play. I think you're looking at a starting lineup with Parsons at PF and Delfino at SF and heavy minutes for everybody in the starting lineup, with Beverly, Motiejunas, and Greg Smith giving the breathers. Actually, just saying that made me realize we may see more Francisco Garcia than Thomas Robinson, since he's a veteran and we lack backcourt depth once Parsons goes to PF and we lost Douglas.

Well I hope I don't have to eat crow when I say this, but I think McHale is going to help out Thomas Robinson's game a lot and develop him into a solid player in the NBA. He didn't really have much of a chance with Keith Smart and Sacramento. He will benefit from having a former big guy in the NBA as his coach.

Hotard - yea, since I had posted that I got word he probably wouldn't get to play much if any since he has not had a lot of time to practice with the team. I heard some rumblings about Delfino at PF and Parsons at SF. I think they can be used either way. When we went to a small lineup against the Thunder it was highly effective. Hopefully the same rings true against the Nets tonight.
