great win.... but backup PG's are trash..... why did we cut livingston again?
It was our first game. We shouldn't jump the gun to annoint Harden as our savior (even though I love what I saw last night), and we also shouldn't judge our PG depth after one game either. Let's see how they progress as the season goes on
We'll probably be seeing Machado as the backup pg before the end of the year.
It was a great W on the road especially in an opener.
Still a lot of question marks in terms of the roles Jones, D-Mo, and White will play.
This team will be fun to watch and I expect the Lin-Harden combo to be pretty lethal throughout the season

my question was ignored on the other thread, so i'm gonna try it here..... would it be worth it to try and trade with sacto for d-cousins down the line, or is he too much of a head case?
i dont want him. I would rather us trade for an impact PF.

I thought our youth/inexperience was pretty evident in spots during the game. Lin, Parsons, Morris, and Smith all looked like they were pressing to make something happen IMO. Dropped passes and rebounds, forcing some drives/shots, trying to take rebounds from teammates, out of place, etc. Without Harden to lead these guys, we could have been in for a very rough season.
Tony Douglas was just terrible.
Don't think we want or could get Cousins either. He has the ability to be a dominant player, but not the attitude. Maybe he would do better here, but he's not worth the price tag right now.

Signing ufa josh smith is more likely.
Atlanta has so so so much money. They are set to go after a big three with Smith/Hortford/1max maybe more.

Yep. They will definitely be active this offseason. Hopefully we can snag another game changer to put alongside Harden, but ATL will be major players as well

Houston is out rebounding Atlanta 23-10. A lot of the time they aren't even going after it.
Morris and Parsons can't find the range from 3. As a team we're 0-12

Absolutely. But I was thinking about it, and I can't think of who would be reasonably available that would be a good fit. I don't think Josh Smith is it.

Is Cousins reasonably available? I don't think Sacramento will trade him for at least a few years.

Asik and Patterson are doing a great job defensively and on the glass, and with Harden doin his thing, this team could definitely be a 6-7 seed if we can stay healthy
Ryan, I was thinking the same thing but I don't follow the NBA outside of the Rockets, so I don't know who's out there. Not that I even wanted Gasol, but I believe Stern vetoing that trade a year ago was out of the power of a commish. Hard to support a league led by that man. /end rant.
They just drafted Thomas Robinson and it's known that Cousins has some maturing problems. I don't know if he's available but Sacramento might be sick of him and trade him. Playing with a winning team and Patrick Patterson again might do him good. He's 22 6-11 275 pounds. Worth the risk
