A few thoughts after the first 2 weeks of the season.
1. I have a bad feeling about Lin. I think his career is going to be basically average. The problem is, everyone knows what he is capable of; that historic run of games he had in NY. But he may never reach that level of play again. Similar to Brandon Backe for the Astros. He threw that 1 amazing game in the NLCS in 2004 (I think), and because of that they kept him around much longer than they should have, considering that his career is basically that of a slightly below average major league pitcher. I'm not giving up on Lin, I'm just fearful that this same thing will happen to him.
2. Royce White. What a disappointment. Why can't Chuck Hayes still be around here to show this kid the ropes?
3. I'm afraid that if Harden doesn't have an amazing night, we aren't going to be in very many games.
The schedule is pretty tough over the next 15 games or so; I'm not expecting to win much until after Christmas. In the 2nd half of the season, I think the line-up will start to work much better together and we will be a much improved team.
