Ulrich, that's what Bonner labeled himself in one of his weird basketball instructional videos

I always like pop, but he sounded like kind of an ass on the blowout question

2008 Spurs v Hornets is a good example of blowout wins through 6 games for the home teams

Have you not ever seen Pop speak before? That's his schtick.

Yes but it seems like he took it a little further this time. Maybe it's just me

What's he supposed to say? Refs suck? If he knew why the first 3 were blowouts then game 4 would have been won.

Can't confirm but people on SpursTalk are saying the first thing Brooks did on the podium is complain about the lack of FT's for OKC? Anyone see it?

Didn't watch the nba post game where they show the podium. TNT hasn't shown that part if true.

I missed the first part but for the most part he has given a lot of credit to the way the spurs played better tonight

Okay just checking, don't usually take ST too seriously, bunch of drama queens over there.

Quote from Brooks

"We aren't a fouling team and they aren't a FT team and they got 30. We are a FT Team"

Lmao.

The free throws were spurs 20 OKC 18 at the end of the third. The spurs shot ten extra in garbage time while up 30.

Further proof OKC is nothing without the free throw line.

mAg thinks Pop is an ass, and TNT literally shows that same question and Barkley says what a great guy he is.

Scott Brooks *****ing about how many FTs the Spurs got.

Putting more words into my mouth I see. That's the 1st somewhat negative thing I've ever said about pop. I didn't call him an ass.

Yeah, you did.

Sounded like one and calling someone one are 2 different things.

Not sure how the refs were in the first half, I only managed to start watching halfway through the 3rd, but the refs were pretty good from what I saw. The only problems I saw were the foul to Manu's elbow and then contested 3 foul on the other end that should have been reversed and Fisher's attempt to claw out Baynes eye non-call.

Other than that, Spurs were aggressive in the 4th getting to the rim, and got a lot of fair fouls where the Thunder were taking too many contested mid range jumpers.

Looking at the box score, the Thunder had almost an identical game to game 3, as far as shots go, with the difference coming in 11 less free throws. Also held to only 4 fast break points.

Rebounding so much better in this game for the Spurs.

When do we find out the refs for game 6?

2-3 hours before the game to reduce betting attempts.

The refs did a better job swallowing the whistle in the 2nd half, but there were still at least 4-5 ridiculous bailout calls for Westbrook and one for Durant that were bad, but it is what it is.

This. It was ridiculous at times, which is nothing new playing OKC. The Spurs were simply unbeatable tonight. They could have pulled away much earlier, but the refs kept it close. At one point with like half the 2nd quarter gone, OKC had made just 1 field goal... But they had plenty of FTs so they were still in striking distance. But the Spurs never cooled off so it didn't matter.

Here's Westbrook's nut shot on Duncan (refs called a foul on Duncan). Can't see enough of the play to say whether it was intentional or not, but it was definitely painful.

Officials announced the morning of the game.

Game 6 should be Danny Crawford as crew chief if the trends continue.

Game 7 if necessary will feature either Scott Foster or Joey Crawford as chief.

Ouch. Did we get a make up call for that one?

The placement probably wasn't intentional. He was definitely trying to kick off to redirect his momentum though.

I'm all in favor of putting Baynes in just for a REALLY hard foul on Westbrook and now probably Fisher for his attempted eye scratching.

I'm not sure any of these guys other than maybe Fisher would intentionally nut someone. But it isn't normal to jump like that, he was definitely trying to use his foot to create space.
