If the Heat can build a roster with great role players (even though some have taken ring discounts) then the Thunder should certainly be able to do better than their bench now. Exclusive hero ball with the MVP may get you to the WCF, or even Finals, but no championship.

I think the THunder had a decent shot against the Heat had they beat the Spurs this year.
But I do think Brooks is a terrible coach. If they could get Lionel Hollins, the THunder would be a lock for the Finals.
All they need to do is play better lockdown defense, and they would be damn near unstoppable in a 7 game series.

Also, I don't get the hate on Brooks' previous post-game comments about free throws. I watched his whole post-game interview after game 5 and he was extremely complimentary of the Spurs and gave them full credit. He was very humble and down to Earth.
I don't think he's a whiner, whoever is bashing him has been taking him out of context.

GS I watched it and that is not at all what it sounded like, on whole. He gave all the credit to the Spurs. He was very up front that the Spurs played harder and deserved to win.
