Good popcorn flick. Nonsensical with explosions. My 13 year old daughter would like to lodge a complaint with Patty Jenkins on the apparent requirement for Chris Pine to die in every Wonder Woman movie, but I wasn't that bothered.
I've got zero interest in the DC universe, so a don't mind a throwaway dumb summer movie.

My major complaint is the music not being nearly as cool as in the first movie. Her original theme is just so badass and it never really plays in its original form.
Villain was obviously a major improvement from the first one.
I'd probably place it behind MoS, BvS, and Shazam. But way ahead of the others in the DCEU.
Edit: Probably behind Aquaman, too.
I agree with the throwback feel of the movie. I thought about the same '70s-'80s Superman movies after watching this. I think they wanted to make this kid friendly and to have a message, and they sort of got lost in that.
Personally, I enjoyed it for the most part. I guess I have low expectations for superhero movies in general, and I sort of struggle with the current crop that take themselves a little too serious.
I haven't read any of the replies, but this show is almost unwatchable. I'm about 90 minutes in. Just awful. This makes Green Lantern look like The Godfather in terms of quality.
The only superhero that could actually exist is Batman. All these types of movies are ridiculous.
As a matter of fact, most movies are ridiculous and could never happen. Anything going back and forth in time is ridiculous. Flying, fire breathing dragons are ridiculous. Good guys never missing while bad guys can't hit the broad side of a barn is ridiculous. A woman beating crap crap out of 50 men is ridiculous.
I could go on and on but you get it.
Either you buy into the premise of the movie and enjoy it or you don't. What was wrong with WW84 was it was inconsistent.

That director should never write another script ever again.
He's pretty funny but needs to stop with the dumb stinger clips (Jack from the Shining, etc.). Those are damn annoying!

Steve Trevor was a WW1 pilot, how in god's name is he just going to climb into the cockpit of a supersonic jet and fly like he's a top gun? Then, Diana all the sudden turns the jet invisible for the rest of the movie after disappearing a coffee cup once, and to top it all off, they manage to slow the jet down to about 10 miles per hour and cruise around through a fireworks show.
Just got done watching this. Not bad. Lots of plot holes but I was suspending the hell out of my disbelief because of the fact that Gal Gadot is so incredibly smoking hot.

I didn't read the whole thread, but a comparison has to be made to Spider Man 3. Too many convoluted plot lines.
The WWI fighter pilot not recognizing a trash can but flying a jet was hilarious. Not to mention they flew it from DC to Egypt on presumably a single tank of fuel. That distance is almost 6k miles, the jet may be able to go 1k on a tank.
I can suspend belief for magic, superpowers, etc. but that kind of crap really frustrates me for some reason.

Honestly this wasn't worse than a bunch of the Batman movies, most non marvel super hero movies, or even the last Star Wars.

I'm honestly surprised DC signed off on this given their last few hits. Aquaman was cheesy but fun. There wasn't a big moral lesson, it was just Momoa going from "reluctantly heroic to boo-yah heroic". This was just cheesy with a moral lesson tacked on, except horribly executed.
Also, no Hollywood blockbuster should EVER have action sequences that remind me of ****ty Bollywood/South Indian cinema.
