this is one i might have ventured to the theater to see, but as we have HBO Max, it's hard to pass up for "free".
Apple TV 4K. $180. Easily one of the best tech devices/inventions of the past 20 years. For those like myself, who don't own a PlayStation or X-Box, it's a no-brainer. I don't understand why every non-gamer who can afford an Apple TV doesn't own one. There's not an app or platform you can't download on it, there's nothing you can't stream to it, and it all works so simply and intuitively. It's my cable box, my music player, and my streaming device, all in one. I *love* Apple TV...

I plan to see WW84 in the theater in IMAX as soon as I can.
You haven't seen my cable bill....YouBet said:MooreTrucker said:Bookmarked for future reference as we're deciding to get Apple TV or not. Is that $180 per month or is that a one-time cost? If it's $180 per month there are some gullible m'fers out there.

$180 for the device. No other fees, unless you want the Apple TV+ service, which is $4.99/month for original Apple programming.
I'm still excited to see it, but lying if I say that hasn't been dampened a bit.YouBet said:
This movie is rating out pretty average on IMDB and meta critic. Still hyped to see it but gives me some pause.
We shall see.
The review by National Review was pretty bad. Some of the comments made me think I will be disappointed.YouBet said:

Yeah, you always have trolls on these review sites but there a lot of 1s and 2s on IMDB. Some people flat out hate it.Fightin TX Aggie said:The review by National Review was pretty bad. Some of the comments made me think I will be disappointed.YouBet said:

Oh I expect that. I'm just trying to figure out the low ratings.double aught said:
Possibly. Or it could just be a positive, fun movie, the opposite of 2020.

Most have. I thought Man of Steel and WW1 were better than average though.Cromagnum said:YouBet said:

Hasn't pretty much every DC movie been like that? We're going to see it next week but I am already trying to temper my wife's expectations. She loved the first one.

I've also been seeing that the movie is just a little too long. They probably could have cut down 15-20 minutes off of the movie.

I'll never understand letting someone random person's review influence your level of enjoyment of a movie.

(one small addition:
The re-use of a soundtrack theme from an unrelated movie during a key sequence was very distracting.
