I mean...we gotta launch a thousand ships.

If Nolan is going space marine armor, Viking longboats, and normie American accents, we CAN GET a triple D Helen.

I skipped to the moment that matters. if you're easily triggered by Kimmel, don't watch the first 8 minutes. If you do watch them, don't post about it.

Just spent two weeks in Europe (mostly Italy, then France, couple days in Spain). The marketing for the Odyssey is literally everywhere. Next closest, surprisingly, was the He Man movie lol..

I wonder if this director will find Nolan's Odyssey inclusive enough.

Someone is a queer filmmaker because they choose to be. And it's not about their sexual choices, it's about how one chooses to broadcast them (or not) and leverage them at work. I honestly have no idea if Nolan is straight or gay and don't care. He's a filmmaker that has made films I like. But if he or any other filmmaker wants to start weaving odd aspects (be it casting, stories, etc) into his films that seem like there is some other motive that doesn't fit, the chances I'll like those films starts decreasing.

Per their Wikipedia page, Schoenbrun's work explores themes including dysphoria, describing it as "central to their art" and "drawing on experiences from...unarticulated feelings regarding their queer identity." Schoenbrun describes one of their movies as "a film about the 'egg crack', a term for the moment in a trans person's life when they realize their identity does not correspond to their assigned gender."

I wonder why they're described as a queer filmmaker?
