Had a slight delay in our meal.

Too funny, my wife and I decided to try Reds tonight.
Server didn't come so went inside to get a server.
Ordered the queso and chips and drinks when waiter came out.
He brought them, told us app was comped.
Manager came over and visited, overall a great experience. Good food HUGE portions. We split the spicy chicken sandwich and it was really good. Fries were extra crispy (which I really like).
Some people just don't get it...

Brainchild of the family that brought us the original Fajita Rita's so I have high hopes.
Thanks Orlando. We literally took delivery of the fresh tortilla press about an hour ago. Andreas and I loaded it into the front of the restaurant.
We are setting up the prep room in the back with a very large chargrill to sear the meats at very high heat for service. We want that flavor punch from the chargrill texture. We will use the highest quality meats.
The tortillas will be made to order, literally. We will not let any tortilla sit and wait for a taco, but quite the opposite. They will come fresh off the griddle and immediately be assembled for service. I see a lot of places make fresh tortillas, which is great, but then they sit around and wait to be filled.
The tortilla operation will be on full display from the counter so the customer can transparently see the process
We have assembled a very experienced team from the genre whichcollectively together with us we have probably 100 years restaurant experience.
Hours for now are 6am-10pm. However, we are contemplating 24 hours as there is only one taco shop in town that's 24. The location doesn't seem like a 24 hour location to us, but it's seriously on our radar..

It's only two things that are happening/about to happen.

Our newest concept/brand Mojo Tortilla Co. opening this summer.
Other than that, it's the existing Burger Mojo locations,
La Bodega Baja Taco Bar, and The Backyard in northgate.

It's not that far from Kettle (which used to be 24 hours) and Walmart (which also used to be 24 hours). Plus, it's right near the hospital and police station--the first responders will thank you.Costa and Andreas said:

Noted. The entire leadership team is actually discussing it tomrorow.

The new gas station at the corner of Welsh & Holleman appears to finally be open.
Lately when I go to burger mojo I go for the taquitos. They are are my go to. I am thrilled about the new concept!

I'm glad you posted this. I stopped by this morning.
While they are open, they are not 100% ready to go as far as all of the offerings inside the store. He said they should have the hunt brother's pizza equipment today so they should be offering that soon. They also have a taco place inside, that he thinks will be ready the second week of May. He said they'll host a grand opening when they do.
The person working was very friendly and I look forward to adding this to my rotation since it's on my way to work every day.

Yes and much fresher/better/natural tasting than the chain that's popular for em. But as you can tell from my post history I'm kind of a BM fanboy so maybe I'm not exactly objective

Yes I always get chorizo, egg, and white queso. Only place I can get queso on a breakfast taco.

1) Cam West Crossing Apartments - the apartments are phase one of a larger planned development there with restaurants, retail, townhomes, a hotel, and a water feature. The apartments are the orange buildings on the site plan below.
2) The Traditions Apartments - These are planned across 47 from the CamWest Development above
I couldn't find any renderings or addition information for this project other than what was in the TDLR filing

Houston Hot Chicken is opening on April 26.
The Asian Cafe has opened in the old IHop restaurant on College Ave. I haven't eatent there yet, but the menu has a wide selection of different noodle dishes and various offerings of spicey and sweet fried chicken dishes.
Anyone know when PJ's Coffee is supposed to open across from Consol? Their website says "coming soon" and you can see the metal parts being put in for counters. That location was most recently an Amarillo National Bank, which had a drive-thru ATM. The drive-thru window was boarded up when the bank closed, but it's not clear walking by it if they'll put in a drive-thru or not.

However, as promised, our team discussed the 24 hour prospect and agreed that we will phase it in a few months after mastering operations.
We all want it to be successful but of course the public's interest level will make the final decision of sustainability.
We plan to offer a robust catering program so large, early am breakfast taco orders certainly wouldn't hurt the cause. Wink wink
