It's a ghost kitchen. I have no desire to order from there and have my kids learn that name.

Yikes!

Also there's absolutely no way there is an actual "Riley Fuzzel Road."

Yes, there is. I used to live off of Birnham Woods and Riley Fuzzle (Toll 99).

I saw this yesterday as well looking for burgers on DoorDash.

Some new burger place called, I kid you not, "Bun ****" has apparently just opened here.

Edit: the word that was banned was a euphemism for an especially promiscuous woman.

Pretty sure someone would have an aneurysm if we lived in Austin with some of the taco trucks there.

With those prices either the portions are tiny, something nefarious is occurring, or it's 1995:

Voodoo Brewing is closing. Another victim of that location of death, and endless horrible construction work.

Two towers under construction there and a third planned there. Hopefully the third starts soon so that they can all be done around the same time. It will be almost impossible for a place to stay in business there until construction ends.

Or there are simply a lot of taco trucks and competition keeps the prices low. I run across a few taco trucks in BCS with very reasonable prices too, and nothing nefarious is going on.

Casa Monarca is excellent though. As are both The Owl and Sunbeam.

Ronin didn't close because of money issues. Their lease wasn't renewed.

I'm aware of why Ronin closed. I like The Owl fine, but downtown Bryan has plenty of bars…and Mexican restaurants.

Wait a minute…. Their lease wasn't renewed. Why was it not renewed? Maybe money issues in the past played into future decisions. I don't think you can say lease not renewed is proof it wasn't money issues. It just wasn't acute money issues.

There's a lot to it that I'm not going to post on here. Come to lunch sometime and I'm happy to tell you. The only time there were money issues were during COVID when lots of restaurants had them.

I thought Casa Rodriguez was foreclosed on. Maybe the buyer then allowed them to execute a new lease while they figured out their new plan. My guess is either they didn't pay their lease because they didn't pay their old mortgage or the new owner is moving forward with a new plan that doesn't include them as a tenant.

Culpepper has a filing with the city requesting a public access easement be changed to a public way at their development at the old Hurricane Harry's site. The request is for what they call the "grocery store section" of the development. No other details given on said grocery store that I could find.

I think the German Brauhaus and Square One also closed. Possibly Third On Main too.

Brauhaus was "alleged" to be closing several months ago, there was some sort of tax dispute IIRC but that has since been resolved. We ate there a week ago. 3rd on Main appears to be open (drove by today). I don't know about the other place mentioned.

I'm so old I remember when students rode bikes and had to use the pedals, and rode skateboards and had to use their legs and feet to generate the power.

That was Skaggs. And the Pig (Piggly Wiggly) was next to the K Mart on Texas and 2818. That was the official end of CS back in the day.
