Something's not adding up.
What would make more sense I would think is the new owner saw how well they were doing and decided to increase rent on them. Then, they thought "well if we're gonna pay more why not go to a newer facility". Just a guess.

Lisa told us this morning that she offered to pay higher rent and the new owner still kicked her out.

I agree with the former. Regarding the latter, I was under the impression that they moved due to not paying rent. Shows what I know lol

I personally think it's a dumb move by the new owner if true. You've got a solid paying tenant. Take the mailbox money and move on. Why take on the risk and headache of running a restaurant.
Both hotels are still locally owned, just fly the Marriott colors. This helps with booking/corporate travel rewards. Not too uncommon in "boutique" hotels.Captn_Ag05 said:
Yep, Marriot owns La Salle and Stella. La Salle is part of their Tribute Portfolio and the Stella their Autograph Collection.

If I'm not mistaken, the Outback here was under Tom Kenney before founded/co-founded Grub. He's now the guy behind Napa Flats and Napa Flats Bistro.
