Saw that a new Korean food truck is opening later this week by the CS Walmart.

Salad and Go announced on Tuesday plans to shutter 41 restaurants.
The closures include all locations in Houston, Austin, and San Antonio, and a handful of stores in the Dallas metro area and Oklahoma.

Our Salad and Go location is likely to close, as they appear to be closing all non DFW Texas locations.

That's too bad. I go there at least once a week but it's not surprising. I don't think I've ever had more than 2 cars ahead of me in line and it's typical for me to have none or just one. Maybe it's my imagination but it seems to be a little pricier now than when they first opened but it's so darn convenient. I wish there was Asian restaurant with a drive thru nearby too.

There is one by me in Houston that opened about a year and a half ago. Don't know how it made it this long, never saw a single car there.

They should be on the highway. They would get a lot more business. But I can see how it would fold. Loved that place, though

Bryan annexing land near RELLIS that could potentially be home to a data center. Knocking it out of the park.

HEB gas on Villa Maria is fenced off and all the lights were off. I'm assuming some kind of remodeling is about to take place.
For my Bryanites, anyone know what's happening across from Readfield's? They demo half of the building but look to be dressing up the facade and parking lot.

Bobby mentioned it on WTAW as one of the 2 beautification grants they approved this month. Looks like it will still be a car place.

Are car places "beautiful?"

Kettle survives for 40 years and its replacement Salad & Go lasts less than two. Pathetic! I suspect it's going to be another drive-through coffeeshop at this rate, as Dutch Bros seems to be taking over at least two locations in the Houston area (one already closed, one never opened).

No idea, but maybe after the city gives them 30k to dress it up. Maybe they can make part of it look like a boat.
Welp. It's official. I've had several people reach out and confirm that the Salad and Go in College Station is among the 41 that will be closing on Friday.

Will be disappointed if Salad & Go closes. It isn't anything amazing, but it is decently good and is very close to my office.

I agree 100%. What ever happened to the"big announcement" that was supposed to be make that would change the area? This announcement was supposed to of happened months ago according to the Bryan mayor. City leaders keep making these announcements but nothing gets built or nothing happens.

The governor's office and the Bryan ISD school board continues negotiations over possible tax breaks to bring a semiconductor manufacturing and research facility to the RELLIS campus.
During the May 19, 2025 Bryan ISD board meeting, member Joel Bryan acknowledged but did not give details of the ongoing negotiations.
His comments, which were part of the latest meeting of the BISD board's executive committee, came before the board resumed discussions in executive session. The behind closed doors negotiations have been taking place since September 2024.

You'd think they'd negotiate with the entity that takes the lion's share of the property taxes first. That would be my move, check the big square first?
