This might be crazy talk but with Anchor bar closing and O'Zonas also closed right next to it.
Seems like a perfect set up for Pappa-Sitos/Deux to be put in there.

We need a good taco joint in West Bryan, specifically near the Walmart on 2818.

That area and location is where sit down restaurants go to die. Proceed with 100% caution.

Ozona was there for many years. Carinos was in the anchor bar location for a long time too. Both lasted about 20 years. Seems like something other than location was responsible for their closing.
I don't think young people dine out as much anymore. That combined with inflation these last four years certainly doesn't help.Hornbeck said:
The economy is definitely changing such that the people that can afford to eat out at a sit down restaurant is dropping rapidly. For many years, folks could afford to live on the wages paid by the University and local businesses. That is becoming not so much the case.
With a lower pool of potential customers, restaurants are failing.

Demographics of those that are willing and able to pay for sit down restaurants are not doing so off of Harvey Rd. Restaurants built elsewhere in more desirable locations will be where they end up.

If restaurants have their stuff together, it does not really matter where they are located.
