I don't care if people think he doesn't want to be here or believe his personality is abrasive and annoying. The guy can recruit and win games, and that's a relatively uncommon thing with Aggie basketball.
I hope we don't get on the coaching carousel again.

I think there are a limited number of schools that have the ability to pay a coach $4.6M/year and amongst those that need a coach, they aren't looking for a Buzz Williams. I doubt he's going to take a pay cut, so he's stuck here.LouisvilleAg said:
At this point, let's just hope that Maryland goes Buzz. Because of they don't, then the school that lost their coach will hire Buzz. And if they don't, then that school will hire Buzz. Just need this to happen sooner than later.
He's done it before, but agree that he's unlikely to do it now.Seven Costanza said:I think there are a limited number of schools that have the ability to pay a coach $4.6M/year and amongst those that need a coach, they aren't looking for a Buzz Williams. It would be comical if it wasn't so pathetic. As for Buzz, I don't know what motivates the man. But this is a bad look for him. It's tough to be a sage, guru life coach after coming across as a snake oil salesman like this.

I don't think Buzz is being a snake oil salesmen. He is trying to get out in front of the hot seat. Somebody made it clear his seat was hot. Which I think is nuts.

Well good luck to Buzz drumming up fan base support if he stays.

Self-inflicted, like recruiting like crap and averaging Top40 classes. Plus awful offenses.Belton Ag said:Much of the unpopularity is self-inflicted. It's going to be more amped up after this fiasco.MarcAg said:
Holy sh*t. Lol. Buzz recruits awful. Do you even follow the program? His recruiting classes average like #35 on average.Nom de Plume said:

His other option is getting fired next offseason. The fact he's trying to save us a buyout is reason enough to not cry about Buzz trying to get out. He's doing us a favor.taylorswift13_ said:

Why do you think we'd fire him next year when we can't fire him this year? What's a $15M buyout if you're gonna pay $10M?

You did say that.
And I thought that, if he left, it would NOT be to take a different job, but would rather be to retire and become a life coach or teacher or motivational speaker.

He only cares about team bus one.
