Just finished.

Yes the first two seasons were better. Have rewatched them. Will not rewatch this one.

Goggins part could have had so much more. White underutilized him. His girlfriend was perfect though.

Belinda and the Cougar's storylines while done well did not care about either of them.

Security guard and North Carolina family was done well, liked the storylines, but slow until the very end.

Father/son scene when it appeared the son had died was probably my fav of the season. Helped wake that dad up on what was important.

We enjoyed and just finished S3. Basically agree with a lot of previous comments…

A lot of the acting was solid, the Tim story line was stupid slow and drawn out, wanted more out of Rick story arc. I found the interwoven Buddhist themes addressing worldly desires to be interesting.

Not an expert by any stretch but there are so many extended shots of characters processing something that either just happened or was just said. They stare into the abyss while the camera just locks in on them. It's like yeah we get it they can't figure it out.

I think the 8 episodes could have been 6 easily.

Imo S2 was far and away the best. S3 far and away the least strongest.

Maybe its cause I love anything Sicily. I love the Godfather references. And I also kinda know someone like the rich d oo chy "friend " who would totally try to shag his bestie's lady.

It's S2, S1, S3 in that order for me personally.

I really liked Piper and Lochlan as well as Chelsea as characters but didn't really connect with anyone else even Goggins who i think the world of as an actor.

The way women always do: pretend everything is fine and even over-compensate until they can get away from each other. They brought everything to the surface and acknowledged it but i didn't see where anyone sought to make a change based on their conversation. My 3 best friends on this planet are from college, we've known each other over 15 years now and we live all across the country. We take girls trips about every other year, have a group text message, talk on the phone every once in a while etc.

There are some HUGE similarities to these women. Do we gossip and talk **** and then come to the table? do we argue and squabble? yes. Do we know each other's bull**** and call each other on it in front of each others faces too? Yep. .. But even when we hurt each others feelings or disagree or talk ****, there is no friendship that has lasted longer and our lives would be emptier without each other. Just because you go 'oh em gee what is going on with her face" doesnt mean that the "I love her" is necessarily fake.

them coming back together at the end and saying "**** it, I know your flaws and I'd rather be next to you anyway" is very real.

I just watched all 3 seasons in like 3 days and I'm still not even sure if I like it or if its a train wreck straight into Gomorrah that I couldn't look away from.

Takeaways: I really hope Belinda is a guest in the next season but that she has adopted Tanya's fashion sense and behavior style. Like.. "this is what wealth looked like to me, so I'm going to copy it"

People who are invited on free vacations should really be nicer.

Rowing is not actually that much fun.

Portia had almost no redeeming qualities.. I mean.. even if she was stuck in a hotel room...boohoo nicest room you've ever been in with unlimited room service? get outta here. stop crying.

So is Greggary gay kinda gay sorta gay? Was he railing the high end gays? cause the main one loved him? but then he had the model chick that he didn't really like. He was far less interesting without Tanya in his life and the whole quebec model thing made him even more boring.

Zion is hot, more of him...but he's gonna turn into a villain if he sticks around.
Pornchai shirtless is approved.

aubrey plaza and hot husband hopefully didn't become the rich people they hated, but that's what it looks like..hopefully they got home and go "that was messed up, never again"

Already said my peace on the 3 girls. That is any friendship that has lasted time and distance. shocked though that seeing the stolen jewelry didn't come back to haunt them? The trump thing was perfect, have basically had that conversation in my life just like that. have heard the church thing just like that.

I missed how gaitak actually figured out it was the Russian guys.

Italy manager was my least favorite manager. Fabian didn't get as much time to shine as the other 2 and I think he could have.

The behind the scenes stuff... as someone who was around theatre a lot in college, a 6 month theatre camp with successful millionaire theatre kids sounds truly nightmarish.

How did italy dad not confront Lucia when the 50k euros things came up. That whole thing was such an obvious scam...he's supposedly a smart businessman..you'd think he'd know when he's being fleeced.

Hawaiidad ... boundaries bro. I felt for the mom, cause truly, she was doing some heavy lifting in that world. Her kids are horrible, her husband is a child, and no one says thank you. She needs a vacation from them. Also, sure hope one of the rowingbros is cool about having a new underage roomie. All they needed was to say "there's a rowing team in ...whereever we live, so excited about your new hobby. Glad you have a goal."

Rick and Chelsea were a wierd match. the hype about their chemistry was not great. Chelsea needed some backstory about why she was a glutton for punishment for someone so mean to her. like.. he barely even cared about the robbery or apologized about the snake bite

Did Daddario and husband not have a single conversations about expectations and job futures when they were engaged? seems like something that would maybe possibly come up at least once...also like probably they have connections where they could get her writing gigs..even though she isn't a good writer.

Tanya's seen being straight out of the Taken yacht scene until she slipped and died was perfect. I can't believe yall talking talking about "white said he'd never use a snow setting" but also he said he'd never do it with JCool. so .. ya know. liar.

Y'all keep saying 5-6 bodies, like this was a lot, but only 3 were "real people". The 2 random bodyguards def don't count. and ricks dad only had like 3 total lines in the show so 2. As soon as chelsea said the pain vs hope, you knew she was dead meat. I dont actually think Gaitok would really as a character shoot a guy who was walking away holding a woman. No chance. would have made more sense if Mook saw, took the gun and shot, then handed it back or something.


I'm not sure what my other big thoughts were. maybe I'll think of some.

Just wrapped up White Lotus season 3 on hbo max and wow… they nailed it again. The mix of tension, dark humor, and those crazy character arcs had me glued the whole time. The new setting was gorgeous but also kind of unsettling in the best way. Looking forward to the 4th season.
