Man, I took that speech from her totally the opposite. She laid out how utterly meaningless her life was. No spirituality, no love, kids were pointless....her message was outliving your meaningless life makes it meaningful.

I do get her job comment. A lot of us put too much of ourselves into a job because that's all we know, but as a whole that was sad.

I also laughed at Lochlan talking to his brother. He jerked him off because he's a "people pleaser" and didn't want him to feel left out. How selfless! lol.

Also, in a season no one even had any idea Oscar winner Sam Rockwell was even gonna be in, opening the episode with him running around for 5 mins in nothing but a pair of leopard print briefs, fked up on drugs/alcohol, and final shot being him also the only one who appears to have gained spiritually, which was supposed to be the "theme" of the whole season- hilarious.

Thr Lochlan thing was actually pretty meaningful. His brother is so obsessed with sex that it's the only lens to see him through, and the only way to be in his world. Because he looks up to him and wants to make him happy, it was the only way he knew how. It's really sad in the end.

By the way, side note…we knew Woody Harrelson was originally attached, but it was for the Sam Rockwell character, can you imagine him delivering that monologue?

I was kind of surprised Rick casually went back to resort after episode with the gun and chair flipping, and surprised at Belinda's character flip, but it was fun and engaging. Also disappointed Gaitok let the Buddha down but at least he got Mook.

Say what you will about this season - I agree it was probably an episode too long - but man that was an incredible finale. More tense and dreadful than any horror movie I've seen in years, while all the various threads came together in brilliant, unexpected fashion. I watched it with a group of friends and we were freaking out at every twist and turn, had to pause it multiple times to compose ourselves and guess where things were going, etc. In the end, IMO, Mike White delivered and then some.

Regardless, this episode is going to do absolutely monster numbers.

Still very enjoyable, but I've definitely got them ranked in the order they came out with this one last. But that's partly because 1 and 2 set the bar so high. This was still good and looking forward to season 4

I think every season has felt super different and they're all good. I think season 2 probably nailed its themes the best tho.

I agree that season two is the best overall from start to finish. But for me this was the best finale of the bunch, no question.

Season 1 is still my favorite partly because the Zahn/Britton/Sweeney family knocked it out of the park so massively. Most entertaining family dynamic of all 3 seasons IMO. Armand also still tops as far as hotel employees.

But all certainly personal preference

Better than 2 for me. So many S2 characters were just forgettable and nothing of consequence happened to them or in their world. I didn't care if any of them were back.

This had many memorable characters and significant things for multiple story lines.

Honestly I was a bit tired of Tanya. And I'm done with Belinda too.

Give me more of the three ladies, Greg/Gary and Chloe, Frank, the f'ed up Ratliffs. Whatever i can get. But even if their stories are wrapped up they will all be more memorable than anything from S2. I barely remember anything now outside of Tanya's arc.

I agree on the finale but they did have a metric **** ton set up to finish tonight haha. I've loved every season, even when this show takes a *dip* it's been, IMO, top 3 best series on TV in recent memory.

I like that Parker Posey's character had zero arc or growth. I was expecting the week off of pills was going to change her, but she was as vapid as always from start to finish.

I didn't watch Mike White on the Amazing Race- but he did it with his dad twice, right? And it was fine?

Because there are *so many* daddy issues in this series, *particularly* this episode, which with a White type of writer ususally comes from some serious trauma. That's not what we've seen from them on their couple seasons of reality TV right? (Not that people don't outgrow all that).
