I am still hoping they explain/dive into the first interaction with the baby shower between Kate and Victoria. I mean what was the point of giving them a connection to just not use it in any way??

Depending on how her family gets finished off, Victoria and Kate would be a great duo for next season's vacation

I'm dangerously close to poop-slap territory in thinking Timothy dies. In that particular episode - he had AT LEAST Dies Eres play twice under his scenes. Man is spiraling and pounding whiskeys and mixing Lorazapams like Halloween candy. I'm certain he kicks the bucket - also hear it played under Piper (I think the realization of her dream of being alone dying...)
Anywho - some of yall seem to have missed the premise of white lotus. The last 3 seasons showcases the future in the first episode - while the following episodes lead up to the main reveal / mystery of the entire season. Everyone's 'plot' is pushed through through their relationships and interactions with one another? Don't know how yall can watch this show and say 'nOtHiNg hApPnEd'. If you're looking for succinct answers to your questions week to week - might I suggest a show called SEVERANCE.

- Laurie was gettin' it! Good for her. She's done with the other women's bull**** and making very sound and reasonable decisions based on her feelings with the girls.
- Piper - I DO think she's trying to be a better person and walk in a Buddhist way - Lochlan is desperately looking for any kind of affirmation from his older siblings and this is his weird way of doing it
- Rick. Holy hell - they didn't rehearse a damn thing with the director / producer angle. Gives me the impression they've conned several times before and thought "ah, we'll just wing it". Nothing a few whiskeys and ass kissing can't fix. His storyline far from done - echo the same sentiments in here that that could be his father afterall.
- Gaitok. Brother - you got to be violent to be a security guard. Even the gorgeous Mook knows that! His detective skills came into play at the fight. He's got some big decisions to make.
- Gary / Belinda - again we see the moral compass of Belinda shine through and she's struggling with yet another life altering decision. Would yall be willing to bone a French model in front of her kink riddled husband? I'd maybe ask for 5K and some of that Thailand Molly - but the answer would be yes from me.
- I too, would watch an hour of Rick and Frank navigate drunkenly through Bangkok.
I can't recall when he started taking the pills. Was it before or after the calls from his "partner"? Could the whole be hallucinations? I feel like that would be a cheap out to Tim's story though.

Yes, she should have asked for more money (look at Gary's house, the biggest at the top of the hill). However, $100K is a lot of money in that part of the world, and she has the local guy she slept with wanting to start a health spa with her. That money could go a long way to make that happen.

Did you watch S2? Gay Italian con man mentioned a "Wyoming country guy" that he fell in love with years ago. Tanya found a photo of a young Greg and said G.I. The gays take her on a swan song type of excursion and before bringing her back to the main island, the Mob guy has a duffle full of rope and restraints and his gun. Tanya goes John Wick before bumping her head and drowning over the side of the boat.
All I know for sure is that I have a whole new appreciation for Carrie Coon.

That's fair - my excuse being I binged S1 & S2 within the last month. Thought it was a memorable plot point, but you're right - I have recency on my side. All good

She was in Leftovers as well. That's where I first remember seeing her.
Had no idea she was the sister in Gone Girl. She looks completely different in that movie. (Also apparently her debut film role.)

Mind you I still love the show and I actually think *thematically* this season is the most coherent, but *plot wise* it’s got some glaring pacing issues.

I am not nearly as down on the Tim plotline as others. It's been a slow drip, each episode he realizes one more person that he has potentially ruined. His wife claiming she can't live without money, his son claiming the business is all he has, his daughter wanting to run away etc. and then he has started self destruction in the process, so it's all leading to some form of implosion or catharsis next week.
The Gaitok/Mook storyline was only ever meant to highlight local culture. It is fine for its purpose.
The storyline that I am least interested in is the Goggins one. So much set up all season to have him knock over a chair. Could still change in Ep 8 though.
Overall I do agree that they could have cut out one, maybe even two episodes and been fine. But this week set another viewership record, so I don't assume next season will have less.
