guess i'm in the minority, as i found this episode to be yet another boring one. I was literally hoping the suicide was real just so something would happen, but also quickly knew it was just a "day dream sequence."

I was relieved that Gaitok grabbed the gun just in the nick of time, but I don't think that plotline is resolved. There's a reason it was put in there.
I get the complaint, since it was mostly "setup" for all the plotlines. But it really feels like it's gonna be fireworks for the next two episodes.AggieOO said:

Monaghan was earlier professing how great her relationship was with her actor husband and that she wouldn't cheat on him.Rudyjax said:Man, if you're not going to grab the bull by the horns someone else will.DannyDuberstein said:

She gave her every oppportunity and she passed. That's on Coon's character.
I mean, hey, he didn't respond for 24 hours. Obvious reason to cheat.LMCane said:Monaghan was earlier professing how great her relationship was with her actor husband and that she wouldn't cheat on him.Rudyjax said:Man, if you're not going to grab the bull by the horns someone else will.DannyDuberstein said:

guess not!
glad that it was Bibb the church lady who tried to keep everyone in line and not cheat on her husband.

something has to happen soon, as they are running out of episodes. This is supposed to be what? 8 and we just finished ep 6.Brian Earl Spilner said:I get the complaint, since it was mostly "setup" for all the plotlines. - Rick about to confront his [likely] father.
- The three women are a powder keg.
- Gaitok/Tim coming to a head.
- Saxon unraveling.
- Greg's party and whatever the hell is gonna happen there.
No idea what happens with Piper and Lochy at the temple.
But I can't wait for next episode.
i mean, she's dating a guy simply b/c he's rich and cheating on him. You think she's going to comfort a psuedo random d-bag that got jerked off by his brother while they were all on drugs?T dizl televizl said:
Also feels like Greg/Gary's girlfriend is kind of a horrible person (maybe they all are?). But she takes these two young guys out feeds them drugs, has sex with the two brothers. Then she sees Saxon who is clearly mentally f-ed at this point about hooking up with his brother, and proceeds to basically just talk down to him and not comfort him at all.

You know too, at this point, that Michele Monaghan's actor "husband" on the phone has to be some famous person who is showing up too.
Was thinking about this during that bird pool scene - oh, doctor!YouBet said:

There definitely is going to be a stronger plot point of the lorazepam. Planting it seems plausibleBrian Earl Spilner said:

So my thinking is, Tim can't accuse Gaitok of taking the gun, just as Gaitok can't because both of them would get in serious and/or legal trouble.
But, I'm thinking Tim will try to accuse him of stealing the lorazepam as a way to blackmail him or get back at him in some way. (Or he'll actually plant the bottle on him somehow.)
Those two are on a collision course for sure.
I agree on your comment about the episode. We aren't to a story climax yet, but definitely a character climax (and literally as well!). I suspect next two will be intense, but true next o e may be a story build-up as well.Seven Costanza said:
I don't really have any complaints about it, but it feels like they could have easily taken out an episode and condensed everything without losing anything. It's fine, though.
On the other hand, this isn't some kind of thriller or action show, so you can't really complain too much about "nothing happening". There will ultimately be a climax, but it's more about the character study and story building that leads to everything coming together in the end rather than a drama-filled final half of the season with twists and turns. I wouldn't be surprised if "not much happens" in the next episode either.

I'm still wondering who is playing the resort owner's husband. I tried to make out the voice when Sam Rockwell was meeting him but couldn't.
(If the actor has been revealed somewhere please only post with spoiler tags!)

Just bc it's relevant- they sent critics screeners of the first 6 before the season.
They held back 7 and 8.
It's normal for varying degrees of screeners to go out (esp by HBO) but they specifically stopped em at 6.
I would bet 7 is wild.

Possibly. But that's usually just another term for "bad writing," something Mike What isn't known for.
