I figured, but it was just too easy of a rant to pass up.
In all seriousness, I get how some people would be offended, and I've said a few times he's purposely pushing limits this season. If it's too much for some it's understandable.
But that whole plot line is actually really smart in a way, he is taking the most arrogant macho person imaginable and making him doubt himself and his masculinity in the absolute worst way imaginable. And it has the MW shock value, like the poop scene in season 1, the dude banging his "uncle" in season 2 etc, so it's very much on brand if really cringey. Not to mention that by the end he might be poor and jobless too, so his whole persona might get torn down.
He is going to melt in the next episode I'm afraid. And I'm here for that. The question is, does he come out better for it all in the end? We will see.

And oh by the way, we still don't know why Posey knew Thai, or completely blew off Bibb over the baby shower. Seems Posey has a secret or 2 left.

She's by far the funniest character this season.

White Lotus jumped the shark in a predictable yet horrible way last night. Just never thought they'd get so graphically awful with it.

Yep. Yet many here will praise at the altar of Mike White for his boldness in writing such a masterpiece. It's as if some here are related to the guy and shilling for him.

Yes, Mike White is a talented writer. Yes, we get it, he was Ned Schneebly in School of Rock which is awesome. But don't need to be reminded a million and one times how incredible the guy is for writing incest scenes under the guise of ingenious storytelling and character development.

With the way Saxon was walking after he woke up the next morning, I was fearful it'd turn out he got more than just a handy from his brother. He was walking like he got drilled in the cornhole.

It's a fictional television series.

Some of you are acting like we, Mike White, and the show are all condoning incest. Or like we're all cheering it on/jerking off to it ourselves.

Depiction is not endorsement.

That, and literally no one here is equating "writing incest scenes" with "ingenious storytelling."

Good Lord.

I keep forgetting about that encounter. Will be interesting to see how it comes back. And I still think the three Russian girls at the bar that were pissed off also has to come back. No reason to show that as well without a plot line tie in.

Saxon is a big talker about sexual escapades - but when the crazy went down, he was not ready for it.

He's the guy who wants to "see the donkey show in Mexico" but then realizes that no one ever really wants to see it.

On to who dies, I'm fully thinking Mook is the victim and it comes full circle on Gaitok's ineptness of a security guard causing him to lose the one thing he wants.

That would be awful and despised by everyone.
it is a pretty huge change how the first season was a bit light and goofy and now we are in the Heart of Darkness.

themes this season:

suicide
homicide
lying
gossip
hypocrisy
incest
ghey sex
cheating on spouse
drug abuse
alcohol abuse
robbery
vanity
materialism
narcissism

At least 80% of those existed in the 1st season. And you've shown most of them on this website barnes.

Did you watch the first season? I'm pretty sure all of those things happened in season 1 except suicide and incest (the younger brother was accused of it, but we never saw it)

Walton Goggins is an unbelievable talent

but I can't stand his hair.

either that he has spent $30,000 on FUE or implants

or using a toupee from Hollywood

notice in White Lotus he is nearly balding which seems his actual hairline.

has there ever been a leading ladies man with balding hair?

I've noticed a theme in your posting on this thread. You seem to have a real issue with the Rick/Chelsea relationship and it seems to revolve around age and looks.

Older men get younger women in real life all the time. Goggin is a film and tv star, yes he's probably had hair plugs done. A lot of people have, not a big deal. He can afford it.

This show asks the audience to suspend belief. Like most entertainment, there are a lot of things that really wouldn't happen in real life. BUT the fact a wealthy handsome middle age man whose had hair plugs can date a younger attractive female, is not one of them.

I've wondered if they would go that route with Tim, but I think it's more likely he disappears into Thailand at the end of the vacation.
I could see Tim staying in Thailand at the monastery verse Piper. One, the show had made a point to remind us that those who are hiding from justice come to Thailand. Second, after he almost off's himself he turns to God.

On the flip side of that, I think it may be his legal troubles just go away. A theme of White Lotus is the ultra privileged and wealthy don't face consequences. This whole episode and half of him spiraling since his phone call with the lawyer, he has been without his phone. What if it turns out, the lawyer figured out an angle and was able to make a deal or something and he gets of with a slap on the wrist.

I don't think that theme is the wealthy don't face consequences

all the "rich gays" got killed and so did Tanya Coolidge

Agree, not sure that is the theme here but I don't think the gays were "rich" as they were trying to rip off Tanya. And what consequence did Tanya need to face?
